Having a few days off school mid we week I decided to sneak off on safari with my two children. We were so lucky to have the whole camp to ourselves and be spoilt rotten. Anything we wanted was provided with a smile and all the reviews below were correct about comfy beds, hot water bottles and amazing night sounds.... More

WOW what a trip! From the minute I arrived the adventure began. I was collected promptly and safely from Nairobi having flown in last minute with BA from the UK. (only £600 return) The friendly and knowledgeable driver CJ, told me everything there was to know about Kenya during the 4 hour (200km) ride north towards Nanyuki through some of... More

Ol Pejeta is a stunning conservancy, with awesome views of Mount Kenya and an abundance of wildlife. Alex Hunter's Bush Camp is the perfect place to stay - every detail has been carefully designed, the tents are very comfortable and well equipped, but the sense of adventure and exploration remains. Positioned at the rivers' edge, with wonderful food, and drinks... More

OPC is a great place to be, the only conservancy in the world where you can see both black and white rhinos. It is also home to the last 5 remaining northern white rhinos in Africa as well. Amazing people doing amazing conservation jobs!

Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a great place to see wonderful animals. Our guide Duma from Ol Pejeta Bush Camp was great-we learned so much and were able to find so many types of animals including a large pride of lions! The camp is operated by Alex, who treats you like his house guests. You'll dine with other campers on WONDERFUL... More

Incredible stay with host/owner Alex and his fantastic team. The tents are fantastic - private views, warm water bottles at night tucked in the cozy sheets, a soundtrack of wildlife just outside the tent, and morning wake up calls with fresh coffee waiting. Our guide Duma was an all-star - incredibly patient with my relentless hunt for monkeys and warthogs... More

Ol Pejeta Bush Camp is really the best place ever to go on safari. The accommodations are beautiful, decorated with the best of taste. The mess immediately makes you feel comfortable and welcome. The food is excellent and goes out of the way compared to what is generally expected from a good hotel. The staff, smiling and helpful with no... More

A great experience in the bush - but with comfort! The tents are perfect - large, airy, well decorated with every amenity. The staff are friendly, happy and obviously enjoy what they are doing. Alex Hunter, the owner, is full of stories and fun and is very willing to take guests on drives, or camp under the stars, or do... More

Keep It Simple, Stupid! At last, a camp that manages to provide you with everything you need but without unnecessary frills that add up, inevitably, to ridiculously high costs. OK, so the Ol Pejeta Bush Camp would probably not make it on to the "glamping" award platform, but what are you looking for on safari? If you want a small... More

Stayed at Bush camp for the second time- last time with friends and this time with family. Our group ranged from 1 year old to 70- and every single person had the most perfect time. Nothing is too much trouble- the mechanic fixed our broken car- the chef catered for small children- the driver's found every single animal we wanted... More
