Sleeping Warrior is one of my favourite places in Kenya. Wonderful views over Lake Elementaita, the Sleeping Warrior and Soysambu Conservancy, as well as great food and lovely people. It's lovely and peaceful offering safaris, walks, and a beautiful place to just relax. I've been solo and with friends and will be back again.

We stayed here in March 2014 for 1 night. It's a comfortable 3 hour drive from Nairobi to the lodge - you can drive to and from with a 4 wheel drive - and you can either stay at the camp or the lodge (we were at the lodge). Nestled on a hill, the views from the room are glorious... More

The long journey from Nairobi through the Rift Valley and finally through some amazing African wilderness was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and our host, Jean Francois and staff were wonderful. We were totally spoilt. The views from our lodge were breathtakingly beautiful. Sundowners was so special! This stay was the perfect beginning to our holiday in Africa.

The Lodges at the Sleeping Warrior and their landscape with the shadow of the reassuring Massaï Fighter in the background are second to none. The master plan prepared by the owners, J-F and Jacquie Damon provides for ample space between the guest houses to preserve our privacy. To call room service, we used a state-of-the-art radio system directly imported from... More

Very rough jeep ride to get to the lodge! We saw a few secretary birds which feed on snakes. Quite a sight. Once there the accommodations and especially the food was terrific, we were greeted with cold towels and a drink. Lunch awaited us upon arrival. Jacqueline the owner was very hands on and welcoming. Her husband was away but... More

The food was not upto standard especitally when the lodge is wow! When booking please make sure you have the menus set as not much variety.... More

Lake Elementita is placed right between Naivash and Nakuru (Rift Valley, Kenya) and when the water are not that high it is all pink of Flamingos. on its South, on an extraordinary volcanic crater area, a small and unknown reserve where this lodge is located. It is not easy making a place safe and convenient for man without driving the... More

The lodge is a bit hard to reach as it's in the middle of a small conservative, exclusive, so you will not be bothered with so many safari seekers, but you have to have 4x4 car if you want to drive yourself. We spent two nights there, one of them was the New Year’s Eve and it was lovely. It... More

Amazing view of the crater and the sleeping warrior 'mountain' and other unique Rift Valley landscape features, Lake Elementaita can also be seen in the distance. We walked around to see the grounds and the pool was gorgeous, with another great view. We had lunch at the lodge which was a set menu, the service was quick and friendly. The... More
