We only spent one night at the lovely La Source de Bury on our way down to Dordogne but could easily have stayed longer. We stayed in the family room (1 double/ 2 singles) which had a bedroom above a living area with fridge. The accommodation was rustic and very clean. The setting in the middle of the countryside was... More

Great place, nearby Blois and most of the castles, handy if you are with the car. Very clean and stylish rooms. David is a great host, helped us with advising the best restaurants, places to visit. The breaksasts were the best we had during our French trip. Would definitely come back and advice to friends!

David was the most charming, helpful host. Happy to chat and share his knowledge of the area. Breakfast was super. The location was lovely. The 2 rooms were a duplex with sufficient space. The only drawback was the narrow spiral staircase which could be difficult for less mobile people. We would certainly stay again and have no hesitation in recommending... More

Excellent location and facilities backed up by a proprietor for whom nothing was too much trouble. We had something of a medical emergency in nearby Blois and David could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was quite outstanding being prepared freshly by David. Finding the secluded location (with sketchy mobile reception) can be a challenge but otherwise excellent.

Great value for money, delicious breakfast and peaceful location. Nearby Blois was a great place to wander and Chambord worth a visit. The bath was large and hot but shower fiends might find the shower puny. The pancakes and salted caramel (homemade) deserve a special mention.

An excellent place to stay. Very quiet and calm, with a beautiful garden with a small river running through it. The host is very welcoming and the breakfast was largely home-made (jams, breads, yoghurts, etc) and our room was comfortable and well thought-out. We stayed for 4 nights and didn't want to leave. There's a lot to see in the... More
