I've stayed at this campground now three times. I appreciate the flush toilets and hot showers and the fact that it's so well-situated in town. The front desk staff has always been friendly, and I've had no problems with making reservations. I tent camp, and the sites are very close to one another, so privacy and noise issues are something... more

http://www.zioncamp.com/ Pros: close location to entrance to Zion National Park Cons: apathetic management, tiny campsites, lack of restroom maintenance/upgrades, poor value, quiet hours not enforced, noisy clientele in campground area, picnic benches not secured (taken by others to other campsites) Overall experience/impression: would never camp there again (I'm usually not one to right online reviews, but the experience was poor... more

I wish we would have pitched our tent in the Zion NPark as it is more scenic, has much better bathrooms, the deer walk right by, and the park system needs the money. The campground isn't too bad, but it is basically a parking lot that backs up to the virgin river. The ground under your tent is part gravel... more

Ok, so I was worried after reading all these reviews. But this place was pretty much the only option we had, seeing as we were arriving at Zion in the afternoon on a weekend and all the in-park reservable campsites were taken by the time we planned our trip. As long as you are aware of these things before you... more

I agree with the other reviewers. This place only survives because it´s the only place with full hookups in Springdale. It has the potential to become a lovely RV-park, but I think it would require a change of ownership. Everthing looks dirty and run-down, and the showers and restrooms are terrible. The staff are very unfriendly, almost like they would... more

We decided to stay at this campground rather than in Zion NP itself because it was very hot and we wanted to have hookups so we could use our A/C at night. I called the reservation number from the road and was told they don't take reservations, everything is first come-first served. We took a chance and arrived around 3... more

The ladies at the front desk should know more about customer service, but they are more concerned about each other and the phone. Don't ask for ice when the ice machine is broken and it is 110 degrees outside, because you will be met with a blank stare and informed that ice is not for campers (even if your RV... more

I didn't really experience their campground, but I am glad that we cancelled our reservation. So this is what happened. I checked availability for the day we were planning using their online form. At this point our reservation was not confirmed as their response email showed so. Right after receiving this "not confirmed email" I sent them an email to... more

DO NOT STAY HERE. Unless you like noisy neighbors partying until 3am, I would advise staying in the Park (where rangers monitor noise levels) or shelling out a few extra bucks to stay at a local motel. My boyfriend and I stayed here the night before we were heading out to hike the Zion Narrows. The camp sites were awfully... more

I think there are some good points from other users. My needs are simple since I was camping. I did find that the bathroom and showers were mostly clean. I would have liked to see some paper towels and hand soap at the bathroom sink. I had one of the worst bloody noses (very dry climate) of my life in... more
