Stayed for two days in June. The hotel met my exact expectations. A no frills experience with great location and spartan amenities. Staff was very nice, rooms were clean but could have had better attention to detail. I booked a room with A/C and definitely recommend a room with A/C during summer. Zion is not as high in the plateau... more

I agree with the positive comments about the Zion Lodge in the other reviews, and I just wanted to add/emphasize a couple of comments and logistical details. Beyond a room in the park, staying at the Zion Lodge is the only way you are able to bring and store your vehicle (and stuff) into the park itself. The tram service... more

As we passed through Springdale, I thought that perhaps I had made the wrong choice for our group of four - Springdale looked so charming. After checking in to our adjoining motel-like rooms at Zion Lodge and looking at the view from our balconies, we knew we'd made the right decision. You pay for the privilege of staying inside the... more

We've stayed 2 days at the Zion Lodge with our 2 girls (8 and 7) and we loved it. The motel room (2 queen bed) was clean and quiet, with a view of one of the mountains. Staying in the park is amazing, since you are right there at early morning as well as the sunset and the beautiful sky... more

We spent three days at Zion Lodge on our recent trip. It's definitely not a place for people looking for nightlife, but it suited us. Yes, you pay for location rather than facilities - if you want fancy rooms, go to Vegas. Dining room was only fair, service was sometimes poor (and sometimes good). We went into Springdale for several... more

I just returned from a three day stay in a cabin at Zion Lodge. It was wonderful! The cabin looked like it had been recently remodeled. It was air conditioned--a necessity in the canyon, but also had a quaint gas fire place in the corner for a cold night. The bed was very comfortable and the cabin was clean. My... more

The lodge is all about the location as it is right in the middle of the park and many of the hiking trail heads start within a couple of hundred yards from the parking lot of the lodge. The benefit is of course that it is easy to get on the popular trails early before the crowds show up later... more

The Zion lodge is the only place to stay inside the Zion park itself. It is centrally located to a lot of trails, and has a shuttle stop right at it. I stayed in the lodge (not the cabins), and my room had a balcony, which was nice. The rooms do not have a TV in them, but if you... more

As others have commented staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are a bit dated and dark. The location is superb, and the dining room food is reasonable. We weren't impressed by the fast food cafe. The battery in our door lock expired at the end of our stay and we couldn't get back into our room despite varied... more

We wanted to stay in Zion so you end up at the Zion Lodge. The location is fantastic, in the heart of the valley close to places like Angels Landing. We had booked a suite because it was only 20 dollars more expensive than a basic room. We recommend this to everyone. The suite was great: specious with a separate... more
