Fabulous experience - beautiful hiking, great accommodations for a mountain setting (ie., clean bed and bathroom!), and gourmet dining - what's not to like? Will definitely return - if we are able to win the lottery.

Wonderful short hike takes you to a beautiful paradise! The staff is incredible and helpful. The Manager leads the staff because he is passionate about his role in the experience of his guests. The food is exceptional! The surroundings are peaceful and serene!

HSCs are all in wonderful locations in the high country. Great environment, great food, good camaraderie (guests & staff). Glen Aulin HSC located next to beautiful waterfall. Hiking trail to the camp follows the Tuolumne River through multiple cascades. Can't say anything bad.

Four women and two recent high school grads ventured into Yosemite for our High Sierra Camps Adventure and had the time of our lives. The trails were challenging but the beauty more than made up for our pain. At each camp, we were met with hospitality, clean and quaint tent cabins with comfy beds and the best meals ever !!... More

OK, I called it backpacking. I carried a day pack with a change of clothes and a clean sheet. That was all I needed. I stayed at both Glen Aulin and May Lake. It is a popular loop. Both are beautiful, clean (for camping), and incredibly friendly. This was my first trip, and I didn't know what to expect. I... More

I broke my back when I was a teenager. I love to run and I love to hike, but backpacking usually leaves my spine feeling horrible. I signed up for meals only on the High Sierra Loop because food is the heaviest part of backpacking. I had a wonderful time! Thanks!

Nothing beats the "glamping" experience. Not having to carry your tent or food is great. Leaves more time and energy to enjoy the outdoors. The scenery was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The tent cabins and restrooms were clean.

This was my first time to Yosemite and a High Sierra Camp. We had six people in our group and we came to May Lake on our second night. We backpacked from Glen Aulin which was a great spot as well and I wasn't sure if it could be matched. When we arrived it was stunning from the start. We... More

We just returned from 3 days and 2 night in the high sierra camps of Glen Aulin and May Lake. The beauty of the Yosemite high sierra is stunning, and the camps are ideally situated. They are tent cabins, not luxury accommodations, but they are clean and well furnished, meals are terrific, staff are extremely helpful, and there are even... More

Before getting started, understand that this is a backcountry hiking trip with occasional steep gains and losses in altitude. The camps are about seven to ten miles apart. So before signing up you should know that you are physically up to the trip. All of the camps are separated by foot trails, and you will be “off the grid”. There... More
