We upgraded to a heated tent when we checked in, although I made the booking 3 months previously there were none available. Fortunately there were some free when we got there. We were visiting in May and it got cold at night, the heater was fantastic and I wouldn't want to have been in an unheated tent. We stayed in... More

Curry Village is probably has the least expensive accommodations in Yosemite - unless you bring an RV or actually camp. There are cottages (that are chosen really quickly) and there are heated or unheated tents on platforms nestled under trees, that sleep 4 to 5 people comfortably (but with not much space for backpacks, etc.). These tents are lined up... More

I have an RV and I usually take it to Yosemite every spring. With the cost of gas it usually runs about $300 to drive there and back from Southern California. It's not something to do for a quick weekend getaway. And this year I couldn't get there for a very long trip. I found out I could drive my... More

We are used to camping so it was great not to have to put up a tent and blow up air mattresses! The tent my husband, 11 yr old daughter and I stayed in was unheated and had three reasonably comfortable single beds and one small double, some shelves and a safe. There were two woollen blankets provided for each... More

Camping without carrying around a tent- and sleeping on a bed! I felt like we got a "camping" experience without the bad sleep. I enjoy backcountry camping but since our focus was on hiking this suited us very well. Perfect for 2 adults- or 2 adults, 1 child. Anything more and you will be on top of each other. There... More

It was my first time in Yosemite and my first time in a non heated tent. Yosemite is so awesome that I could have slept outisde. The tent was better than I expected: clean enough, two small beds, they provided extra blankets. The showers were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast included. Everyone very kind and helpful. And Yosemite is a... More

First time we stayed in a "cabin" in Curry Village and it was wonderful. They are actually a four unit building and, you can hear everything but people were very quite and it was relaxing to listen to the camp wind down at about 9:00 PM. No TV, No internet which, after going through mild DT's, we appreciated because of... More

Recognizing at you are staying in a heated (in our case) permanent tent... this was a fine fit for our needs. It was crowded for 3 adults. We had a double and a single. There wasn't much space. We ended up taking turns in the tent because there wasn't a lot of space for all of us to be moving... More

We had a heated tent at curry village. The tent was not well cleaned. Some spiders were also guest in our tent. Furthermore you can not talk without being heared by your neighbours. The heater in our tent was a joke. By turning it on a loud fan was heared. It was so loud that it was nearly impossible to... More

We, my husband and I, stayed at curry village in a heated tent. We reached Yosemite at around 8pm on a Friday night. Front desk person was very polite and gave all the necessary information. We then had to find our way to our tent in the dark. With all our bags it was a tough one! Common bathroom was... More
