I suppose I don't understand all the issues people who give poor ratings to Curry Village. It is a campground with a cafeteria. The campground includes heated and non-heated tents, cabins, etc... The rustic look and the key position right below Half-Dome is the perfect setting. In no other campground can you smell the camp fires, see the falls, listen... More

Our first trip to Yosemite was a wonderful experience. We stay in Curry Village, which at first glance, seemed like my kind of "camping". Beds in tents were comfortable (bring extra blankets!), tents were spacious, and there was ample parking. Some negatives about Curry were the cost. The cost of an unheated tent was reasonable, but it more than DOUBLED... More

I couldn't have asked for a better location or price for what I was receiving. The people at the front desk are willing to help you through any sort of situation that you may come across. Although, just one heads up. If you are happening to stay in Curry Village during the school year I would prepare for loads of... More

Our family of 4 stayed in a cabin with a bathroom (603b) and had a great time. The cabins are definitely rustic having been constructed in 1920. We were connected to 4 other rooms but that didn't bother us. The cabins have very thin walls so you can hear your neighbors easily. All of that said, you are truly in... More

Sleeping in the middle of Yosemite was a very good experience ! The tent was comfortable (more than I expected) with AC (very appreciated during the night !). There is a lot of accommodations (lounge room, shops, restaurants) and staff member were nice. A good night spent in Yosemite ! The negative point : the shared bathrooms were quite dirty,... More

We stayed in one of the cabins in the middle of the village. The crew was nice and friendly but: I will now take the risk to become an enemy to all Americans that love Yosemite. The whole place was an remarkable example on how tourism should not be performed. Have the park ever heard about eco tourism?. Hundreds and... More

You stay in a permanent tent, which is fairly basic, beds singles or double, chair and a safe. One thing I would say is do not choose a unheated tent in April unless you like sleeping in the cold, the heated tents are much nicer. The facilities are good, there are restrooms and a shower block which have the best... More

We stayed in a permanent tent which was fairly basic but did the job. It was clean and dry and under the blankets it was warm. Basic tent setup with beds, shelves & light. Bear box for all your cosmetics. The setting is amazing, waking up and seeing half dome through the Forrest. The facilities are ok, with plenty of washing... More

A tent cabin in curry village is such an experience that I will always remember fondly. The tents are nestled under a lush green canopy allowing dappled light through to the forest floor giving you the feeling of coolness and serenity. The large natural boulders are like sculptured sentinels, they invite you to scramble up the side and sit atop... More

Arrived after dark and the staff was very polite and helpful. The cabin outside light was out. The floor and carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed or cleaned in forever. The beds were very uncomfortable. The thermostat on the heater did not work properly. The guys at the pizza parlor were very nice and efficient. The views priceless.
