Rustic but comfortable enough tent cabin for seasoned outdoor oriented traveler. Advise not to use wood burning stove to heat tent cabin - smoke will linger in the cabin for days, better to have few hours of morning chill vs smoky tent/clothes/etc. Bring food/cooler/water, small (very limited-think size of small closet) store kiosk. We ate dinner at Lodge 1st night... More

It's always a pleasure to stay in the High Sierra camps! The proximity of White Wolf to the upper Yosemite hiking trails and other High Sierra camps make it an ideal place to "land" for our first night to acclimate. We love the scenery and peace at the Lodge. The staff are always helpful and friendly, even when contending with... More

After booking our trip online, initial check-in was quick and simple and the staff was wonderfully friendly. We only stayed one night in White Wolf, but our stay was a joy! Great service, wonderful meals and accommodations, and nature just outside our tent cabin door, ready to be explored.

Our family stayed in a heated tent cabin at White Wolf lodge in June. We had such a great trip. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the food was delicious (I was surprised to see another review criticizing this as we had delicious breakfast and dinner every day and rarely had to wait long for an extra or second... We frequently stay at White Wolf. There are 4 wood cabins that we love to stay in. There are also around 23 tent cabins. There is also a campground area which we think is one of the nicest. Meals are served family style where several people from different parties sit at the same table. Conversations are always interesting and you... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the White Wolf Lodge in Yosemite but the name is a bit misleading. There is a small "lodge" where they serve meals but you actually stay in tent-cabins (a canvas tent set on a concrete slab with a wood stove, cots, bedding, a table, chairs & a lantern). It is about an hour's drive... More

A few cabins with private baths are available at White Wolf, though they generally need to be reserved at least a year in advance. This area is quite cold at night, and these cabins have woodstoves. If you're lucky enough to stay here, you'll thrill to the hiking nearby and to the sounds of the night. Reasonable meals can be... More

This is a wonderful base for some long 'day hiking.' There are a few trails immediately off the White Wolf area (Harden Lake trail is great!) and others are an easy drive to trailhead. Some trails were shorter and others a good 8-10 hours (round trip). We were there first week of August (before the fires) and temps up on... More

If you want to stay in Yosemite but away from the valley - this is a hidden gem of a location. We stayed for 2 nights in mid-July. The tent cabins are just like Curry Village but the overall feel of White Wolf is more like you're staying with friends.. The UPSIDE? The staff were super friendly and helpful. We... More

This is an area of canvas tents each set on its own concrete slab. Our tent had a double cot, and 2 twin cots. You can stand up inside, is rather roomy, and it contained a square table, chairs and a wood burning stove which I was surprised we actually needed at the end of August (firewood is provided). Get there... More
