The perfect place for a peaceful and gorgeous stay. We had an amazing stay in Yosemite, the location couldn't be better and the Wawona hotel is so luxurious and beautiful! The food is also impeccable, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a brilliant stay, simply book this place now! It's fantastic!...

I stayed in a shared bathroom room on a 30 degree night in mid October. Rooms had a bed, a sink and lots of blankets. The shared bathroom required a walk outside in the cold, but was clean, though no soap/shampoos are offered. Wifi is only offered in the common room, and the hotel is not located within cellular range.... More

Pleasant weekend with the granddaughters - we hiked, played board games, and read by the fire. We didn't miss the TV or the radio. I will make this a yearly event and hope the girls will build great memories.

Yes, the Wawona Hotel has rooms with en suite toilet and bath. Who knows, they may even have telephones and WiFi in those "new" rooms. I will never find out, because I always ask for a room in the original, historic building. It's the place to be for a true Wawona experience, the oldest building in Yosemite National Park. My... The place was good however no TV or radios, lighting in bedrooms very dull hard to read a book with older eyes. Food in dining room was okay, not the best for the cost. Wine list reasonable with good drinkable wine.

I accidentally stumbled upon the Wawona Hotel after getting slightly lost after the sun set and it started sleeting (read: it was pitch black outside and I couldn't see anything AND the crazy winding roads were wet... YIKES!), as a real answer to my prayers. As it was late November, I enjoyed a cut rate of around $179/ night for... More

Great winter destination, they decorated for the holdiay. Very relaxing and we highly recommend staying here. Close to skiing and the sites of the valley. Hopefully we will go again someday soon. The only draw back was the beds were a bit hard and there was no room for a roll away bed for our daughter.

Friendly service and stunning location just at the entrance of the natural park are the perks of this traditional hotel. The rest is rather mediocre, to be gentle. With the assessment. We were given rooms with no bath/toilet - they were located on the corridor and shared with other guests. This meant a short but unpleasant walk in January sub-zero... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Wawona just before Christmas. The hotel was dressed up for the season and the staff was friendly and helpful. The accommodations can be a bit rustic for some but the hotel has a charming, peaceful ambience that transcends time: it is still much like we remember it was during visits we made in the... More

The Wawona Hotel is one of the most elegant and historic hotels in California. You feel steeped in California history, comfy, cozy and well cared for by the staff. the food is delicious and nearby hikes into the sequoias and redwoods very soothing. A hike across a swinging bridge that James Garner used in his movie 36 hours is really... More
