Staying at this hotel is like travelling back in time. Our room with bath was city and comfortable. It's a great way to spend the nights while experiencing the fantastic Yosemite National Park. Bur don't expect good wifi...

Recently stayed in a house at the Redwoods in Wawona within Yosemite. We visited the hotel for lunch after walking trails for a couple hours. The staff was pleasant and the food was tasty. There was a variety of choices that seemed to satisfy our party of 7, including some vegetarian options. Skip the Saturday night BBQ. Ribs and chicken... More

Very nice hotel. Just remember that the buildings are 100+ years old and modernization has been limited. No TV - fine with us. Limited WiFi - kinda missed it. As with most hotels in National Parks, you're largely limited to the hotel restaurant. It's about a 45-60 minute drive to Yosemite Valley but there are a number of nice stops... More

If you are the type that doesn't mind a shared (but very clean and well-appointed) bathroom, and you prefer nature to TV, this is definitely the place for you. My daughter and I found our stay here charming (although she was disappointed with no free wifi in our room, she was able to access it on premise) and a perfect... More

A classic Vermont style old fashioned hotel in beautiful grounds and set within Yosemite. No modern facilities e.g. TV, limited wifi improve this hotel beyond measure! Staff are incredibly friendly, very good food, and charming comfortable but not modern rooms. All in all a must visit away from the business of the Yosemite valley floor (1 hours drive away).

The Wawona was a great hotel overall - the staff were friendly, the place was clean, and the atmosphere was one of both history and the great outdoors! I felt that the rooms were a little noisy, but that is to be expected with an old wooden hotel, and the odd inconsiderate late-night fellow guest. We really enjoyed our time,... More

Was traveling alone in Yosemite for a few days and wanted a unique place to stay. Wawona Hotel was great for this. Price seemed high, though admittedly the rooms are very nice and would have been more affordable split between a group. Wawona area is quite far from more popular areas in park (i.e. Tulomne Meadows, Yosemite Valley), so that's... More

Deep in Yosemite national park, a scenic quiet area. Very attentive staff. Dining room good, no other restaurants close by. Wifi limited and slow. Provided a fantastic packed lunch each day to go hiking with.

This is a lovely, relaxing environment with great food and awesome staff. Be sure to take time just to enjoy the ambiance, hike to the Swinging Bridge and sit in the chairs to watch the sunset. The restaurant staff is awesome! And what a way to begin the day...breakfast and watching our flag raised, singing the Star Spangled Banner.

Fabulous wooden construction lodgings. Comfy cosy rooms, old school furnishings and bathroom add to charm. Good dining. Popular with US travellers a fine endorsement. Daily flag raising to whistled anthem piped into breakfast is too cute. .. and a cracking golf course and stables en suite. And the BEST outdoor pool of our tour. Brilliant
