This is as good as it gets to go camping when you have no gear with you, as you can rent bedding and buy food on site. We are travelling around the world with our two boys aged 9 and 11. After weeks of motels, they were horrified at first and then so delighted they did not want to leave,... More

We stayed at the housekeeping camp for 2 nights in the end of June. Expect total Camping expierence with the convience of not having to pitch a tent or bring a table. No water in your campsite and you have to share the water with lot's of others. We also rented our bedding, pillows and camp chairs from the camp, that... More

This campsite is situated in the middle of yosemite Valley. It's a basic tent with a double and bunk-bed and a campfire but fine for a couple of nights. You can take a shower in the shower rooms at the reception and there is also a small shop. Perfect for a few days of hiking through the NP.

Came over from England May 2012, after doing a fair bit of researching decided we wanted to stay right in the heart of Yosemite not miles away so but we decided in January 5 months before and the all the camp sites where already fully booked. Plus as we where travelling all over the West coast mostly stopping in motels,... More

Perhaps my opinion would be different if we had spent time there other than on the 4th of July. It was too crowded, too active and too basic for us. If you want to camp with hundreds of others then this is the place for you. If you want quiet and peace, then go elsewhere. The showers and bathrooms were... More

Housekeeping Camp is not intended to be a fancy hotel -- it's a camp smack in the middle of the glorious Yosemite Valley. For $100 or so per night, you get a structure with three concrete walls, a canvas front, and a canvas roof. One of the concrete walls is shared with another unit. Outside your canvas door is an... We love camping but, coming from England, we can't carry the equipment with us so, we stay in the Housekeeping Camp which is camping in comfort. We stayed here before, two years ago, and just loved it. We are lucky to be able to share with two friends as well, so there are 5 of us. The mattresses and folding... More

Not a fancy luxurious hotel but it definitely meets all your basic needs and puts you in the heart of Yosemite Valley. Saving an hours drive in and another hour out of the park everyday was worth not getting mints on our pillows. A sturdy bunk bed and a double bed are in each, along with shelves, a picnic table... We spent 3 nights here in June. We got our reservations last minute when the 7 day cancelation period opened up. We arrived very late at night and I was surprised that the reception was still open. We checked in and got our bedding for the week. I highly recommend you take the bedding. We put the bedding down first... More

We just got back from 3 nights in Housekeeping Camp and loved it. We were in a riverfront tent cabin and knew that it wouldn't be luxurious by any means going into it. What we found was a fun, rustic, enjoyable experience in a beautiful location. The tent is acceptable, you are camping after all! Both the bunk beds and... More
