Housekeeping Camp offers convenience, good value and a stunning setting to explore Yosemite Valley. The cabins are a convenient accommodation for those travelling without their own tent, though it gets chilly at night, more so than in a tent, be aware of this. The setting is gorgeous and the camp is very quiet. Towels can be borrowed for the showers,... More

If you like to truly rough it this is the place to go. I gave the rooms a three because there are none. You literally have a tarp and a few walls. They do give you beds and for an additional price you can rent sheets blankets and pillows for very cheap. You also have a fire pit, showers and... More

We had a great time! The immediate area and park in general was beautiful. We were located right next to a creek, which was fun for walks in the morning. The staff was friendly and helpful, the store was nicely stocked. Chilly at night this time of year though, so bring some blankets.

Gave it a very good rating just cause you are in Yosemite Valley. The camp itself is nice and has some conveniences like lights and power outlets which were nice for charging phones. You do share a wall with another unit and have a common roof so sound does carry very easily between those to units. The bathrooms were disgusting... More

What a fun family experience that is not exactly tent camping nor lodge camping. It's a cross breed. First and foremost take a look at the camp map and locate a site that suits your needs. Either near the Merced river or inland, there are really are not any "bad" locations. Each camp site is situated with 3 walls and... More

Would definitely stay there again next time I visit Yosemite! Basically you get a permanent tent with a double bed and two singles (as a bunk bed) you have your own picnic table under shelter and a fire pit of your own you can cook on. I camp a lot but didn't have any of my stuff with me in... More

I was very pleased with our stay in housekeeping camp. We stayed for a couple of nights and booked the "roasty toasty" package which included bedding, ingredients for smores, and fire wood. It was so much fun to make s'mores at our campfire and was a nice addition the experience! The beds we're comfy and the scenery around the camp... More

I love camping but my fiancée doesn't. I was looking for a happy medium for accommodations in Yosemite. I'm not sure Houskeeping Camp was it, nonetheless I'll give you the good and bad. Pros: You can have a campfire at housekeeping camp, which you can't do at Curry Village. To me, camping isn't camping unless you can sit around the... More

For what is basically a tent-cum-shelter type of place, I quite enjoyed this. It seems you'll always have a neighbor as the rooms are in pairs - which works if you have a big family. As I understand it, most rooms consist of a double bed and bunkbeds (and you can get rails for the bunkbeds at their store for... More

Loved the view! Wish our neighbors didn't crank their heavy metal music during the day, but no issues at night. Plenty of room for our stuff and our cooking items. Bear boxes were roomy. Great to have lights available and nice to be able to charge our phones and cameras. Great place for groups!
