I love Housekeeping Camp! Sites have 3 sided cement walls, cement floor, full bed, bunk beds, electricity, lights, 6 person tables and a cooking / prep table attached to the fence. Fire pits are provided for all sites and they sell firewood at the store, among everything else you may need or forgot. Shower use is included with your rental.... More

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a road trip around California / Las Vegas. Yosemite is amazing and would definitely recommend visiting the NP. Housekeeping camp is VERY basic, and so anyone staying there should be prepared for that. There are no doors to the units so squirrels can come and go in the units as they please.... More

We had a wonderful break in the stunning Yosemite Valley, situated on the doorstep to magnificent hiking trails. A great place to relax by the river or explore with family or friends and get back to nature. A truly awesome experience.

We were on a long road trip and wanted to really experience Yosemite, so the Housekeeping Camp was perfect for us. For a low rental fee, we all got sheets, pillows, and blankets-- we really did not need any camping equipment. (The blankets were kind of rough-- you may want to bring soft ones if you can.) We brought flashlights,... More

We love to camp in Yosemite - and we have camped in the high country camps as well as the Valley camps, going all the way back to the River sites that were washed out in 2000. If we can't get a tent site in one of the Pines campgrounds, it's Housekeeping for us. What we love is that invariably... More

Overall I was very satisfied great location, staff friendly and helpful The tents could be cleaner but it is camping. The river was so refreshing after a long hike. The village shop was very close. Bring your bikes it is the best way to really see the valley.

Great place to stay. Each room has a fence around it for added privacy and bear proofedness. there was always a ranger walking around even at 3am so I felt very safe the whole time. The camp is clean, well maintained and near everything. If you like luxurious camping this is the place to be!

It takes a day to acclimate to the dirt and close proximity to the other campers. It's also a bit jarring when you first arrive since it's so packed with people, cars, bikers, tents, etc., but you get used it over time. One thing important to know that we didn't see anywhere on their website was that you can only... More

As one of our party commented, it's funny to called it Housekeeping camp when none of that is being done. Having grown up camping, we weren't fazed by our overnight stop at the camp and thought the concept a great one of combining an outdoor experience with some comfort. The bedding supplied was clean but our sheets were ripped, Our... More

This was my families first time coming to Yosemite and after a lot of reading, I decided to try 'Housekeeping Camp'. I'm SO glad we did!! After much research I asked for, or rather requested unit 'J392', right on the water, next to the foot bridge. I was so glad upon check in, to find out I got it!! At... More
