It was nice to spend there 3 nights with our kids even if the tent was not clean as I would expect the tent to be cleaned. We paid USD 100 per night for the tent including blanket, pillow, sheets.... The camping is very well located and the people are very helpful and friendly. Showers and bathrooms are not the... More

We love camping in our tent but tried Housekeeping this past summer. The location is perfect -- close to the river and beach. Over July 4 weekend everyone has decorations around their unit. The whole place has a fun vibe. It's nice having electrical outlets and covered patio. The fire rings are scattered around the units, some in nice locations... More

Yosemite on the cheap, which isn't an easy thing to accomplish. A simple rustic gathering of canvas and concrete units nestled in the trees with a good market nearby and plenty of hot water in the bath houses. Everyone was friendly and you feel like you're right in the heart of Yosemite without spending a fortune. A food locker protects... More

What a blast! My fiancé flew to California from Texas so that we could experience the last open weekend in the Housekeeping Camp at Yosemite. At first, we were somewhat leery of the Housekeeping Camp setup, but boy were we in for a surprise! The camp WAS wonderful! It's still the true camping feel, but without the tents, propane stoves,... When it comes to camping, this is the best possible option. It is camping with some additional conveniences of electricity, mattresses, covered patio with counter, table & chairs. You can definitely take advantage of this facility having little or no of your own camping gear as you can enjoy it with a minimalist approach and rent the essentials upon arrival,... More

Housekeeping Camp offers convenience, good value and a stunning setting to explore Yosemite Valley. The cabins are a convenient accommodation for those travelling without their own tent, though it gets chilly at night, more so than in a tent, be aware of this. The setting is gorgeous and the camp is very quiet. Towels can be borrowed for the showers,... More

If you like to truly rough it this is the place to go. I gave the rooms a three because there are none. You literally have a tarp and a few walls. They do give you beds and for an additional price you can rent sheets blankets and pillows for very cheap. You also have a fire pit, showers and... More

We had a great time! The immediate area and park in general was beautiful. We were located right next to a creek, which was fun for walks in the morning. The staff was friendly and helpful, the store was nicely stocked. Chilly at night this time of year though, so bring some blankets.

Gave it a very good rating just cause you are in Yosemite Valley. The camp itself is nice and has some conveniences like lights and power outlets which were nice for charging phones. You do share a wall with another unit and have a common roof so sound does carry very easily between those to units. The bathrooms were disgusting... More

What a fun family experience that is not exactly tent camping nor lodge camping. It's a cross breed. First and foremost take a look at the camp map and locate a site that suits your needs. Either near the Merced river or inland, there are really are not any "bad" locations. Each camp site is situated with 3 walls and... More
