Our family has been coming to Yosemite's House Keeping area for over 40 years because of the friendly staff and services provided. House Keeping affords the experience of being outdoors with the basic amenities of home. Simply put, brilliant.

Great first camping experience for the kids - enjoyed the outdoor cooking and s'mores - roughing it wasn't too rough with the comfortable beds! Yosemite is truly an awesome place and Housekeeping was the perfect base camp.

What a great trip! We got a spot in G camp right by the water. I would highly recommend reserving something by the water. It's more quiet and the view is to die for. Make sure your cooler dimensions will fit the bear lockers, i called ahead and the staff was kind enough to give me the interior dimensions of... More

Fantastic experience for the kids! We were right next to the water, saw deer close up, toasted s'mores, saw a bear across the water the next morning. Couldn't believe our luck!! Perfect vacation. The bed and bunk bed were clean. We brought sleeping bags, blankets and pillows. The power was out our entire stay but we had flashlights. That didn't... More

Had friends visiting from abroad and we got a reservation 2 days ahead. Yes, it can happen! We were 3 adults and 2 children and it was a little cramped in the "shelter". Specially since I used a double air mattress, instead of the small cot they offered. It is more like camping outside then being in a motel room... More

Next year will be our family's 30th year back to Yosemite for an annual gathering. We can take a hike, ride bikes, do some rafting and swimming, or just sit around camp and visit. This is one trip that our family and extended family looks forward to all year.

Housekeeping Camp is wonderful the beds and secure tent area is provided, all you need is camping gear, river supplies, food, and wood for the fire. Then you can swim relax, hike and enjoy the beauty.

Awesome location within the valley. Close to lots of trailheads. Lots of walking and biking paths nearby. Beautiful views of yosemite falls, half dome and glacier point from the campsite. Free shuttle bus pick up at Housekeeping entrance.

Our family gathers in Yosemite every summer. Housekeeping is perfect for us since we love the planning of our menus and shared cooking of our meals. We love camping but appreciate not having to set up and tear down a tent. The best is early morning with a cup of coffee and meandering down to the Merced River and watching... More
