I stayed in the Hotel this past weekend. It is exactly what I thought it would be. Based upon the reviews here i didnt expect much. The food in the bar area was better than the dining room. GO FIGURE! Maybe it was what we had ordered! Anyhow, There are lots of reviews of this place and half are great... More

Stuck in a timewarp - but in an utterly charming sense. Obviously the setting is second to none; bang in the middle of the Yosemite valley floor. We stayed in one of the cottage rooms, a short walk from the main house and nestled into the trees. As we woke both mornings there were deer foraging outside our door in... More

This was my second time to this hotel, and like before it didn't dissappoint. We stayed in the main hotel in room 425. It had a view of the lawn and towards Half Dome. The room was quiet, comfortable and clean. Yes, they are dated, but this is an historic hotel and that is what makes it so charming. No... More

Where do we start. Yes, the valley, which we have visited for more than 40 years, is incomparable, there really is no place on earth like it. That said, why can’t we have something for lodging that is more than a hundred dollar hotel in a five hundred dollar location! And we are being generous! Some of the worst beds... More

We loved the rustic feel of this full service lodge. Roaring fires and tea with cookies at 4:00. The food was very good (some of it excellent!) and the service was pleasant and professional. Of course, I didn't go there expecting the Four Seasons. Ok, it's not cheap but you're in one of the best park in the work and... More

We spent one night and had two connecting rooms. The views from the hotel are fantastic and it is a great base to explore Yosemite. That is the good bit. The hotel itself is completely run down with old, dated fixtures and fittings and is generally very badly maintained if not to say dirty. While the essentials in the room... More

We are a family of 2 adults/2 children and we stayed over Easter break. The hotel was booked but never felt crowded, except in the grand salon, where we were never able to get a seat near the fire. The cold weather kept many hotel guests indoors and attracted outside wanderers in. The outdoor grounds are beautiful but the interiors... More

After seven or eight months of living in Yosemite and being in and around the Ahwahnee I have a few comments. One of them is to be here is a privilege and to be here at the Ahwahnee, a noted National Historical Landmark is a blessing beyond my wildest imaginings. I thank all that have been involved in making this... More

Have been coming to Yosemite valley for over 30 years, staying at the Ahwahnee approximately half of the time. If you are looking for fancy/smancy this is not for you. Instead you get old time elegance in lovely rooms with Indian motif reflective of the Ahwanechee Indians that first settled here. Quiet time in the Great room. Complimentary morning coffee... More

I read all of the reviews before I booked so I was prepared for a very expensive stay in an average hotel. Hey I figured, I'm not there for the Hotel I'm there for the incredible experience and natural wonder that is Yosemite. If the food is average and I pay a fortune then so be it, if the rooms...
