Can't beat the views and location. Miles of trails and natural beauty. Hotel needs updating of business center, bathrooms, and elevator. Quality of staff not representative of price point. Internet is slow but you should be hiking or enjoying the outdoors if you stay there.

Spectacular setting and gorgeous historic hotel. Definitely a bucket list experience. Not terribly pleased with quality and value of hotel dining room. Other than that the experience was exceptional. The preferred room with a balcony was worth the cost

The setting is awesome, the rooms are lovely but old. The very best place to stay in Yosemite comes at a steep price. The highly rated dining room with its pretentious dress code is way overrated and overpriced. The waiters are snarky and the food is better than ok. You need to book early as the hotel is fully booked... More

The location is hard to beat but the rest is less appealing.. The valet parking has been OK with all the tussle to empty the car to avoid the unwanted attention of the bears. The check in has been strange : we were given some papers to sign as to take on us all the responsibilities of whatever real or... More

Our experience at the Ahwahnee was very good. We were in a cabin in back of the lodge in a wooded area. Our cabin was not fancy but I liked its vintage and original feel. It was pretty spacious with a large closet that included a mirror. The sink was separate from the bath and toilet which I find helpful.... More

We finally managed to get reservations mid-week, mid-August, because we didn't think about traveling to Yosemite until late spring. Plan earlier if you can! We had decided to make it a real adventure and stay at the acclaimed Ahwahee, and we weren't disappointed. From the time we pulled up to check in and avail ourselves of the valet and bell... More

We spent two days in this scenic central place of Yosemite, expensive but certainly enjoying the location both to start hikes around or drink a beer at the bar or take 5 minutes to work in the lounge !

You won't get much bang for your buck at this incredibly overpriced hotel. The rooms are small, not soundproofed, and despite the $500/night price tag, there isn't even a minibar in the room and no coffee maker either. I had heard that eating in the restaurant was a remarkable experience, so we made reservations for a Saturday night. The restaurant... More

The Ahwahnee is the mother of all Yosemite hotels & lodges. The only place where you dont know if you are in the 21st or 19th century. The hotel bears the luxury of a past time, and is located at the heart of the park. We had a little problem with the heat and were kindly given a suite by... More

We have stayed at Old Faithful Inn at Yellowstone and Many Glacier Lodge in Glacier National Park and they have nothing on The Ahwahnee. What a Grand Ole Dame! Beautiful architecture and design throughout with log and rock exterior, beautiful native American design interior with several large rock fireplaces. Views of the granite walls surrounding the Yosemite Valley and watched... More
