Superb stay, amazing time in the hotel and the park. I'm going to repeat this trip again, spending more time at the park. Hotel staff was ready t serve you, Dinner was great, not that expensive thought.

We decided to splurge for a night in a hotel at Yosemite after several weeks in an RV. I will say the place is beautiful like everything else in the park. The staff was helpful. The rooms were clean, the beds were good, bathrooms well stocked. However, don't expect WiFi here. It is terrible. That is a problem throughout the... More

With very few options, if you want to stay in the valley, the cost is far greater than a comparable hotel elsewhere. However, you just need to put that to one side and enjoy it for what it is. The highlights of the hotel are:- - location, after being out and about, it's lovely to come back to the hotel... More

Overall, not worth the trip. Fortunately, a family emergency cut our trip short. The main hotel is nice, but the room was terrible even though the front desk agent said it was good when we checked in. The room smelled and we had a partial view of the housekeeping and delivery areas. I do not know which was noisier--the old... More

Yosemite is a must-see destination and we highly recommend the Ahwahnee because of location, historical significance, service and beauty. The Ahawahnee is pricey and unfortunately our room was located above the service area, so request a room with a view.

Spent several days at the Awahnee in September. Great historical hotel with exceptional service. A bit pricey and difficult to get reservations (get them early).Could use some updating in places but still maintains that historical flavor.Half Dome was right outside out door and the village just down the street.

A room with a view....... We were allocated the room that was spectacular. The view from our room was worth the charge alone. The hotel garden immediately in front, massive trees in the distance and the view of Half Dome mountain right in front of you, spectacular ! The hotel is a complete throw back in time, its like you... More

Beautiful hotel! I wish I would of had that extra day just to relax, enjoy the pool or read a book. Stay in the cottages in the back instead of in main hotel section. Very secluded and romantic. It was a little on the pricey side. I think the lobby lounge could use an update. Dining room was excellent!

If only once, a stay at The Ahwahnee is not to be missed. I have been in and around the Yosemite Valley since I was 6 or 7 years old. But I always looked at the hotel wistfully, and never gathered the courage - and the dimes - to stay there. When my wife and I decided to celebrate our... More

Considering that this hotel is in the wilderness and depending on which way you entered Yosemite, you're traveling at elevations of 7,000-10,000 ft., I thought it was well done! Renovations must be tough. It was like seeing an oasis in the desert when we walked into the lobby after the intense drive to the park. You are literally driving on... More
