Great hotel, great experience! The staff were so accommodating and helpful and the scenery is beautiful. Would highly recommend and do go and see Badger Pass. Even though they hadn't had much snow, the surroundings were worthwhile and picturesque. Great time was had!

The Ahwahnee is magical. In addition to being a beautiful, well-maintained hotel, the history of this place is fascinating. The staff are all friendly and helpful, and we had a view of Half Dome from our room window. The glass was so clean, my husband (a photographer) took photos right through the glass! In late January, there are fewer people... More

it is always delightful to stay at this elegant historic hotel. While the rooms would be considered sparse in comparison to other 4 or 5 star properties, the beds are comfortable and you can't beat the history of the building or the beautiful surroundings of tall trees and nature. In winter, this area is also delightful. if you want a... More

Even in a dry winter with no snow the stay was perfect. Every detail taken care of. The rooms are historic and very well kept. The restaurant is excellent though geared for an older crowd. From the Ahwahnee you can walk or bike just about anywhere or pick up a bus.

The Ahwahnee hotel has been one of my favorite destinations since early childhood. I still come, as an adult, with my family and friends. Beware, summertime and particularly holidays, can be very very busy. Try to be creative and come during "off times." You'll enjoy it even more.

My husband and I spent his birthday weekend at the Ahwahnee. This was our first time at this magnificent hotel. We enjoyed hiking to the various falls. Everything about our experience was wonderful. We'll definitely be back.

It is always a pleasure to stay at the Ahwahnee. The staff is helpful and professional. We did request a cottage six months before our visit but a cottage was not available. There were some upgrades and renovations taking place. On the mezzanine level, the paint fumes were somewhat overpowering but that probably could not be helped. We were there... More

Yosemite amazing & great trip overall. However, would not stay again. $495 a night deserved a cleaner more updated room. We went on an amazing hike to Vernal Falls and had a great dinner on Saturday night in the dining room. Pros + • amazing wood burning fireplaces throughout • historic - you can feel the history oozing from the... More

The hotel itself is old but renovated and is very nice. The dining hall is beautiful but the food is just good.Of course, the surrounding scenery is magnificent. In summary, this is the only place in Yosemite Valley with a reasonable approximation to luxury accommodations.

This was our second time attending the chefs dinner package program and we loved the five course dinner with wine pairing. The food was great and the service was outstanding. We also went to two cooking classes and one was outstanding and the other was good. We skipped the 3rd cooking class and hiked to the top of Upper Yosemite... More
