Staff and surroundings can't be beat. Had a cabin. Noisy, no view and bed sloped so I slept in a chair. Maybe the other rooms are better. The hiking trails are great, Be sure to be specific. WIfe and I wound up on a moderate trail walking through horse dung.

We spent 2 nights at the Ahwahnee. The first night we received a complimentary upgrade to a suite. It was an unexpected treat. The hotel is old but well maintained. The rooms are very expensive in the summer and reservations need to be made months in advance. We took the Grand tour which was a great way to see the... More

My wife and I stayed at Ahwahnee Hotel for three days in July 2014 having been advised it was a luxury hotel and the best in the park. We had spent the previous ten days staying in superb hotels in Las Vegas, Big Sur and Rutherford (Napa Valley) so were really looking forward to the Ahwahnee as so many people... More

The hotel was beautifully decorated and staff was pleasant and efficient. The best thing was that we could see the falls from our room window. It was the perfect end to our short week of camping and it was great to make the drive home feeling clean and refreshed from sleeping in the Ahwahnee hotel!

July 4th weekend our family bit the bullet to pay the outrageous $500+ per night charge at The Ahwahnee for a family reunion and white water rafting holiday. We had not stayed at The Ahwahnee for over a decade. Not a lot visibly changed. You are paying for location, decent hotel accommodations and best of all ... air conditioned rooms,... More

We had never stayed at the ahwahnee, despite other visits to yosemite. It was a deep pleasure to get to drink it in the whole day long while enjoying the elegance and friendliness of a comfort zone like this classic hotel. Alas, it is pricey and not for every day. It was perfect for a fun wedding celebration with friends.

The hotel was georgeous and the valley was breathtaking! Highly recommend both the hotel and the valley for people who enjoy nature, hiking, and just relaxing! Not much nightlife, but not necessary after a day hiking!

Stayed with my wife for 2 nights while exploring Yosemite. Right in the valley floor with amazing views right outside your window. The only true resort in the Valley book early and you will be amazed by the experience. Hiking and exploring by day and returning home for a cocktail on the patio and an amazing dinner in their main... More

Stopped here after some hiking and sight seeing and were served a perfect lunch and drinks on the terrace. Food was very good as was the service. Again wish we had stayed at least night here as it was very atmospheric but we had pre-booked elsewhere....another time!

We spent one night at the Ahwahnee Hotel to celebrate my husband's birthday. This was also a bucket list item for us, so we were excited to be able to do this trip. The stay at the Ahwahnee was more than we expected. The room we got had a fantastic view of Yosemite Falls and the room was very comfortable... More
