This place has a silly 5pm check in. The staff seem to be programmed only to do just a few specialised tasks and are not much use beyond that. The accommodation blocks are poorly heated, poorly themed and are in need of renovation. Given that the hotel has a captive market, enjoys high occupancy with high prices there is no... More

See my previous review for my first impressions. This time, we requested a second floor room in a newer building. It did make a difference - the room seemed a bit nicer than last time, but this is still a 3 star experience at a 4 star price as expected. Spotted a Bobcat a few minutes away from the hotel... The Lodge at the Falls is not deluxe, but the room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. Plus, you can't beat the location! We spent New Year's weekend at the lodge, and plan to return. The food court is definitely not fancy, but there's a lot of variety and the quality of the food is good. We ate one night at... More

We arrived at about 1:45pm and were told our room was ready which was nice. We were told that we could get lunch in the food court so we walked around there after checking in only to be turned away ,(along with about 5 others) by a very officious staffmember with absolutely no customer service skills, who informed us rudely... It wasn't cheap. It wasn't the best place we stayed. We had the run-around when we arrived (asked for a quiet room with a view, got given a room with NO view and unmade) but ended up with one with a view of the falls from our balcony. Rooms are about adequate - particularly for the money in high season,... More

My wife and I traveled to Yosemite National Park in January to attend the wedding of a friend. We spent two nights at the park’s Yosemite Lodge property, where we booked a Lodge Room at $132 per night. It goes without saying that Yosemite National Park is stunning. Even with rain and snow, the park was absolutely beautiful. The Yosemite... More

We enjoy visiting Yosemite Valley and staying at the Yosemite Lodge at the Falls in the winter. There are no crowds and the staff is less busy than in the summer. This was our third winter visit there in four years. The selections at the food court are good and healthful. The staff at the hotel are friendly, the rooms... More

We had originally planned to ski at Badger Pass this week, but there was no snow, so we decided to hike instead. We switched out the ski package we had at Yosemite Lodge and ended up with a very reasonable price. We were surprised at how decent the room was, considering some of the reviews on this site. We stayed... More

Tioga pass hadn't been open this late since something like 1932, and the original plan was to camp. I shot that plan down given how cold it was, and offered to pay for a night at the lodge. Essentially the place is a step up from summer camp, but not by much. There was a tiny TV, the free wifi... More

Yosemite is a great place to visit. In winter, it's Yosemite and it's empty. Want to hike a trail and not see another soul? Want the valley without the bears? Want to wake up in the morning, look out the window and see the tallest waterfall in North America? This is the place. Yosemite Lodge is the somewhat more affordable... More
