If you're looking for luxury, you won't find it here, however if a luxury vacation is what you're after a National Park probably shouldn't be your first choice. This is definitely a rustic lodge and retains all the charm of when it was built decades ago. Bugs? We got 'em. A/C? Never! Wonderful view from the back porch? You betcha!... More

We read the reviews and chose Yosemite Lodge at the Falls for location. Beds were comfortable, slept fine. Was run-down as expected, but great view from patio - no windows to speak of in room- no screen on door to patio. We were happy that we did not have any spiders in our room and they supplied a fan in... More

We stayed at Yosemite Valley, in the Lodge, to avoid the driving times to yosemite. The price quality of the lodge is of course awfull (230 dollar for a very basic room), but if you want to stay in the valley the lodge is one of your few options. I was glad I did not stay in the very busy,... More

We originally had reservations at a b&b and lucked up with rooms at the Lodge 10 days before our stay. I posted on the forum and really was torn about staying at the lodge because of the reviews BUT many people on the forum said "Stay in the Park".....boy, am I glad I listened. The lodge was ok....we had an... More

We were lucky to get reservations for any place in Yosemite Valley, since I booked this trip only 3 weeks in advance. I wasn't expecting a palace. Rustic charm best describes this place, which is cut above sleeping in a tent. My husband and I had a king-sized bed. The bathroom was clean and functional at best. We had a... More

Our room - number 4400, what is a good location and was roomy. However, it needs updating and some of the cobwebs should be removed. Checking in was not a pleasant experience and even though you are given a "parking pass" the parking is not supervised. We could often not find a place to park within a 1/2 mile of... More

I just returned from staying 2 nights at Yosemite Lodge at the Falls. I must say, the only negative was the long hike to the room with our luggage. The rooms are tucked away from the parking lot. The masquitoes were all over the park. Thank goodness I brought a can of OFF repellant spray. The room are exactly what... More

I stayed one night with a friend in Yosemite from July 6th to July 7th. Although I personally prefer comfy hotels we had chosen Yosemite Lodge for the location and so safe driving time in & out the park. We did not want to go camping (Curry Village) and did not want to spend three times the money (on the... More

We were Honeymooning from England in California and came from our favourite city San Francisco to stay in Yosemite on arrival the park was breathtaking and stayed that way but the Lodge was terrible we expected peace and quiet but it was more like we had walked into a Butlins holiday camp we had really noisy neighbours. We asked to... More

Distance are deceiving within the Park. Allow twice as much time as you think you'll need because of curvy roads and road construction. Driving up to Glacier Point from Yosemite Valley takes a full hr one way. Because you don't want to spend all day in the car, try to stay within the park. Yosemite Lodge rooms remind me of... More
