Our room was clean, modern and tastefully furnished with vey comfortable bed, mod cons including flat screen tv, nice bathroom/vanity area and good heating. Free shuttle bus runs from the lodge and it is short easy walk to Yosemite Village and oh so close to the Yosemite Falls. Location really can overcome lots of negatives but this place, in terms... We've just spent two nights at the Yosemite Lodge (at the Falls - don't confuse it with the Yosemite View Lodge like our travel agent did!). It was cheap, comfortable and the location was perfect. Yosemite Lodge is like a small village of about 15 lodges, each with say 12-16 rooms accessed directly from outside (ie. no internal corridors). The... More

We go and stay at the Yosemite Lodge frequently. For prior visits we have stayed in the Azalea building, but this time we asked to stay in Birch, one of the updated rooms that had a king bed. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable for the first night. It was difficult to get the temperature to be "right",... More

After reading mixed reviews here I booked this lodge because of its location. I had low expectations of everything else. Therefore was surprised that it turned out to be ok. Dated? Yes. Our room was clean. Shower was clean. We felt comfortable in the room. Food was very average but we expected that. We had two 18 year olds and... More

There are few choices at Yosemite for lodging. We have stayed in several places outside the park due to the cost factor. This trip we decided that we were going to stay inside the park. The "high rent" hotel is out of the question ($400 a night) so we tried the Lodge. My first impression of the lodge is the visual.... More

We headed up to Yosemite looking forward to a quiet, restful vacation. We chose the Lodge at The Falls knowing that it was not the most luxurious of accommodations, but we were going to Yosemite and hiking, bike riding were the most important activity for us. Checking in was a breeze, and we were offered to check the room out before committing, did not... More

The lodge is right across the street from Yosemite Falls and a short walk to the meadow and Swinging Bridge picnic area with access to the Merced River/Beach and great views of the falls and Half Dome. Just went back for the 3rd time and was surprised at some of the amenities in the Cottonwood units. Flat screen TVs. ipad/ipod... More

It's in the park. That means you go to sleep to the sound of Yosemite Falls, which is outside your window. You wake up and walk 50 feet to breakfast. In the evenings, after a day of hiking or touring, you can choose from the cafeteria, the restaurant or the great lodge bar. We tried them all and loved them... More

I went back and forth whether to rate the lodge "poor" or "average" but finally decided on the latter just due to location. Check in was at 5 (kind of late) but that went off without a hitch. However, when I went to park, there was not a space to be found anywhere close to our room. I ended up... More

Lodge is spread out - I thought it would be a normal hotel with multiple levels. It's just 2 story building - it was good that we got a room on the upper level - could leave the door open without fear of mice or other animals... Make sure you don't get a room too far off the main facility... More
