I fail to understand why this place's rating is not higher. I accept that it is expensive by American standards but to wake up to views of the valley and not have to drive into the park every day makes it completely worthwhile. We had a double queen room and it was very generous in its size and had a... More

Stayed there for a night in late March 2013. Stayed in 1 of the un-renovated rooms just across from reception. The room was a bit tired and cold, but the location and staff more than made up for it. From check-in to meals, check-out, bag check and at the shop, the staff were pleasant and helpful. Of course, the fact... More

This hotel is very expensive for what it is, but you pay that premium for location, so it is worth it. The biggest thing I didn't like about this place was the customer service, definitely not the usual friendly North American welcome that you come to expect. When we came to pick our bags up it was about 9.00pm, and... More

Went here for a weekend for my cousin's wedding. The park itself was breath-taking and beautiful. We got the park after 5pm so we were able to check in right away. The lodge itself is huge. Had to walk from the lobby to our room with 3 big suitcases by myself as my parents had to go to the wedding... More

What a place to wake up or see the sun set. To see the falls and hear them is so specail (especailly as we live in a drought prone area of the world.) We chose to stay there because it was memorial day weekend so thought it better to be in the park than outside since we had no transport... More

I have stayed in the lodge many times since it's the best location in the park, close to all the trailheads, dining etc. We paid $225 a night (in March) for what is essenyially a mid-level motel room (the only update was a docking station for an iPhone or iPod) but the at night we could hear the roar of... We have been to Yosemite many time before but this was our first time staying inside the park. Staying at the lodge made our visit special even after having visited Yosemite many times. We stayed in the Cottonwood building with a view of the falls thanks to the helpful girl at the front desk who cheerfully accomodated our request of... More

Step out of your room and lift your eyes to Yosemite Falls. Stunning! Right in the middle of the Park with Shuttle Bus stop at Lobby. Everything you need on property. Staff at desk very helpful. Shop loaded with every essential you might be lacking. Excellent food at restaurant and the more casual grill. Concierge to help you plan your... More

I've stayed in all the lodges in park and Yosemite lodge is my favorite. This is not a 4- 5 star hotel but is very well kept up and the rooms are nice sized and well appointed . The up side is location location location. Located directly across from Yosemite falls. Has the best dining options. Bring or rent bike... More

We didn't think much of the room; the location of course can't be beat. I think that for the price we would expect a much better room. Why they are unable to remodel every 50 years or so is beyond me. My wife complained and apologized about roughing it, I told her it was OK; I couldn’t sleep because of... More
