Yosemite Lodge is in a beautiful location and is very convenient. Buses stop directly in front of the lobby. Rooms however are extremely outdated. Buildings are not clean. Food in the food court is expensive and disgusting. Staff at front desk is nice and helpful.

Anywhere else I would give this hotel a three star rating but being immersed in the amazing scenery and get to different areas of the park using the shuttle bus made for a great experience. We have stayed here before and would stay again, the camping options not attractive and other hotel options too expensive. Our room was nice and... More

This Lodge is not the picture shown in all the search engines. It is the check in desk and lobby area. The rooms are small and out dated, and a bit warm! No air conditioning, just a large fan that you is propped to blow on you. I would definitely stay in the park if you want to see Yosemite... More

Let me start by saying that this is not the Fairmont, Ritz or Four Seasons. Many of the previous reviews have criticised the lack of air con, food etc but my family all agreed that as a base to enjoy Yosemite without forking out for the Ahwahnee, suffering the dust and heat of camping or slogging into the park each... I have been vacationing at Yosemite over a 50-year time span, from backpacking to staying at Curry Village and Yosemite Lodge. Staying at the Lodge is my favorite place. We've had several rooms with lovely views of the Yosemite Falls. Spring and early summer assure that water will be falling!! But even in late summer, the view is breathtaking. Our... More

We booked our 4-night stay last December. The rim fires provided us with a rare chance to experience Yosemite Valley without the usual crowds (and luckily without smoke). Our room was large and comfortable at a price that exceeded any previous room, but we were paying for the location. If you're not going to camp out and can't spring for... More

Not many options when you are staying in Yosemite Valley. Very rustic-no air conditioning but a single desk fan is in every room. The restaurant and other common areas are air conditioned so not sure why they can't put units in the rooms. We were excited to eat a sit down dinner in the Mountain Room restaurant after a day... I relied on many reviews so adding so detail to help others: Started planning in early July when everything was booked. As advised, kept trying the website for a cancellation - which happened in good number at the 7 day cancellation deadline. Had a string of single nights, but then a week opened. (Yosemite Falls completely dry - so fewer... More

Yes, it's expensive--and the older building is ok while the newer ones are nice. BUT you omit 1 hour of driving each way and wake up to the amazing beauty of the park. I stayed 4 nites-2 in the new and 2 in the older units. Worth it to be in the park, ready for a hike in minutes. From... More

The staff and food was great. Can't beat it. The staff is attentive and the service was terrific. A little expensive, but one would expect that in a location like this. Well worth it. We will surly visit again and would recommend this if you want a great experience in the heart of Yosemite National Park
