I stay at many lodges at our national parks. Some are better than others, but none are top notch. I am not sure if the responsibility for funding any upgrading lies with the Park Service or the concessionaires that run the facilities - but no-one is putting much money into it. The room at Yosemite Falls was fair-poor. Cleanliness was... More

My wife and i recently stayed at the Lodge for a couple of nights. We were warmly greeted on arrival and were allocated a room that should have had a view, but in fact it was blocked by a large, overgrown conifer tree approximately 6 inches from our balcony. The room was also unbearably hot as the radiator could not... More

If there were competition in Yosemite you wouldn't stay here, but since the other in-park options are the very pricey Awahnee or the lower scale Curry Village or camping that leaves Yosemite Lodge for those of us who want a bed and flushing non-shared toilet and don't want to pay $400+ a night for the Awanhee (have dinner there instead... we moved rooms twice. the third room was ok but the other two were third world. A terrible shame given the breathtaking location, but because of its position the management know they don't need to reach an acceptable standard to get a full house. A shameful barely habitable accommodation option. Although its painfully expensive, consider paying the $$$ extra for... More

We stayed in the Elderberry Lodge for 2 nights in early October. Those 2 days, it rained the entire time. (and snowed in upper elevations) We felt sorry for the families with young children, who were soaked and camping. Many were trying to transfer into the Lodge to sleep in a real bed. The Lodge had no vacancy. We had... More

Well our room was fine - in the Manzanita block - large, comfortable, two double beds and a walk in closet and bath to soak in after a day's walking. There was supposed to be a balcony view of the falls, but because of the improvement works, the balcony door didn't work - in response, staff kindly offered us a... More

We stayed at Yosemite Lodge for two nights in early October. The Lodge is at a great location in Yosemite Valley, with shuttle bus stops right there and also hikes that start right on the property, and the scenery is amazing. The first room we were given was at the far edge of the Lodge property (the Lodge consists of... More

They say the best things in life are free which is especially so inside Yosemite National Park. We stayed in a Birch "deluxe" room at Yosemite Lodge. "Eco" style lodge, very much in need of a total refurbishment, with Hilton prices. To be fair the room was our only gripe, the overall stay was great and the condition of our... More

Yosemite Valley would definitely be our recommended place to stay - its so central to all the beauties of this wonderful national park. From an accomodation perspective we chose Yosemite Lodge as it was more to our taste than camping and much less expensive than the Ahwahnee Hotel. However, our standard room in Cedar Lodge was dark, stuffy and poorly... More

We had second floor room in the Aspen building. Unfortunately our view was of the Dogwood building next door. The room was plain but spacious and it had a safe! Nice patio and a window that opened but the screen was so dirty we couldn't see much. The grounds were wonderful. Bike rentals right there and walking distance to the... More
