Excellent service, clean rooms. I recommend it. When we got there, the guy at the counter was very nice, he gave us a lot of activities that can be done around the hotel. This hotel is very near from all the trails.

The best feature of the hotel is the location, right under the falls. We stayed in the Maple building. It is old but updated inside. New paint, flooring, and the bath was totally overhauled. Its located across from the restaurants and shopping. All the building are different ours was the only one with a central hallway. The rest were motel... More

The best thing about this hotel is the location and view. It is a step above camping out. The room we reserved was unavailable when we arrived due to they say renovation. No advance warning or notification and the room we were given was not the best accommodation for staying with our two grandsons. The lighting was inadequate and the... More

The rooms here are pretty small and basic and the beds are double size rather than queen. I ended up sharing with my child rather than my husband. Each room has a back door with a little table and chairs which is nice and it is in a great locaton. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall we were happy with... More

My daughter and I recently visited Yosemite on a hiking vacation and booked a condo at Yosemite West. One evening a very quick and aggressive snow storm hit while we were in the valley. Driving a rental car with no chains we immediately hit the road in pursuit of our condo. We had almost made it when the road was... More

This was the best! We were right at the falls and could see it through our window. I have to recommend this hotel. It was reasonably priced, and absolutely gorgeous. Loved the food, the pool, everything. The feel was rustic, with all the comforts of home. My kids still talk about it and want to go back and it's been... More

My mom and I visited during the recent snowstorm and this hotel saved us one night. We had rooms in Yosemite West, but the roads were closed by 7 pm due to the volume of snow falling and a crashed snowplow and we couldn't make it back. Facing the reality of sleeping in our car, we thought we'd check for... More

The hotel isn't great - rooms are quite dark and old-fashioned, bathroom is not fabulous, corridors are a bit institutional. But the location is so fantastic we were prepared to excuse almost anything - after all, one doesn't go to Yosemite to spend time in your hotel room. The bed is very large and comfortable. There is a fridge which... More

DNC is remodeling most of the rooms and updating the amenities. The price is higher than it probably should be, but the location and the fact that these rooms typically need to be booked many months in advance is a good argument for supply and demand economics. And the location is wonderful. The rooms are not as dark as they... More

It's such a pity that this incredible location is wasted by having such a poor quality hotel with very poor value and boring "institutional" food. Our room was small, dank and we heard the teenagers next door far too clearly. Perhaps they are not allowed to build something new, comfortable and worthy of such a prime location-- or perhaps they... More
