This is a special place - A first-rate private B&B in Yosemite Park. During the summer months this may be the only opportunity to visit the park without enduring the constant crowds in Yosemite Valley. If you are interested in the comfort of a really good accommodation in a secluded, quiet location with easy access to the attractions of Yosemite... More

The owner, Karen, runs this Yosemite gem. With only three rooms available, the space is intimate, friendly and always kept clean. A perfect comfort to start and end our days! We were able to watch stars shoot over the night sky on the beautiful terrace, then enjoy a delicious breakfast with the other guests - all kind and sociable people... More

Karen is a fantastic host - extremely knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. We felt like we were family (in a good way) by the end of our stay! The lodge is not down in the Village, so you can get away from all the crowds and traffic and still be centrally located to all the sites - Yosemite Village, Mariposa Grove,... More

Yosemite was the highlight of our driving trip around California and this B&B definitely contributed. Bob, the owner, was so wonderful to us, prepared the best breakfasts and, given that we were both inexperienced hikers and without a map, even planned our day trips out in the valley. He also let us borrow his family's maps, jackets and poles. There... More

This is a wonderful place to stay.Quiet, lovely accomodations,,great breakfast, small enough to be intimate, close to park highlights, knowledgeable helpful hosts. We arrived lateish and were not sure we were in the right place, however there was a little note welcoming us and the door was open and we were directed to our lovely room, can't say how great it was to arrive after such... This was a great location. Flying into Fresno and stopping at Mariposa Grove and getting to the Winona Inn for a Sat. barbecue and then arriving at Sierra West before dark all worked out perfectly. The 88 steps may be hard for some so pack light. The owners are full of useful information and daily hiking ideas. She provided us... More

We loved this place! We stayed here on our honeymoon last summer, and the only reason we knew about it was that I found it on tripadvisor. We were right in the middle of the beautiful high country with delicious breakfast and great hosts! I can't imagine our experience at Yosemite being any better. It was definitely worth it to... The reviews about Karen were what sold us on the place and she was as helpful as we hoped and very knowledgeable about yosemite. We paid about $270 per night but I think Yosemite is quite expensive and there is not a lot of choice. It is fair value for Yosemite but you can get better value in other places... More

My wife and I decided on this lodging when I learned that there was a first rate B&B in Yosemite from TA reviewers. When our reservations were confirmed by Karen, the proprietress, I immediately canceled our reservations at the Yosemite Lodge. I was impressed w/ Karen's demeanor when booking the reservation in September by phone because I was talking to... More

The rooms are spotless, the food is good and ample, the views are amazing and the friendly inkeeper Karen is full of great information on how to see the park. Access to all major areas of the park is easy from this location. There is no reason to stay anywhere else; Yosemite west offers all you could ask for. We... More
