We stayed in the cabin behind the lodge. Even though one mooring we woke up to no hot water it was not a big deal. The Geyser was right out the back door and we could walk over any time to watch it ... well every 90 mins or so. There was a coyote right in the back one mooring... More

We ended up staying in 2 cabins for our family of 5. Panned on staying in a 2 double with shared bath, but daughter broke ankle before we left. So ended up adding a double with private bath for my daughter. Both cabins were as expected, loved the location, away from the hustle & bustle of the Inn. I love... More

We were very pleased with our stay in the budget cabin. It sufficiently accommodated our family of four, although it was borderline too small, but we adjusted. We thought the lack of a bathroom would be a big deal, but it really wasn't. The bathroom and bathhouse were both close by. We actually loved that we were away from the... More

This is a very small cabin, but you just cannot beat the location. We stayed at other cabins and this is hands down the smallest. One full size bed and one single bed in a very small room. Could not share with more than 1 kid and that would be pushing it. But the proximity to Old Faithful cannot be... More

We stayed one night in one of the budget cabins located next to the Old Faithful Inn and the Old Faithful Geyser during the last week of May. We loved this little cabin - for us, it was just right, very charming and cozy. This was one of the cabins that did not have it's own bathroom. There were several... More

I stayed 5 nights in a Frontier Cabin during June 2014. They are bare bones, for sure. But at the same time they are comfortable, clean, and have hot water. Most of all: location, location, location. No complaints; I'd stay there again (if I could book one again - meh!).

No air conditioning but they do have a fan. The cabins were near the Old Faithful Lodge so the trip for coffee in the morning wasn't far. Very, very basic but clean. Shower, sink, double bed and a small desk. They work out alright but strictly basic housing.

I was a bit apprehensive about our cabin, after our check in experience. It was the third straight day of freezing cold rain in Yellowstone, and we were soaking wet and cold when we checked in for the cabin. All we wanted was to get our keys, go to the cabin, change into dry clothes, and warm up. The gentleman... More

These cabins were perfectly sized for our trip. Nothing more is needed but a bed, and with the addition of a sink, that's all these basic rooms offered. Unlike Mammoth, the shared bathrooms are in a totally different building, requiring you to walk outside to them. This isn't bad as long as you're ready for it. It has the advantage... More

We had one of the smaller frontier cabins. There was another cabin attached to the back like a little duplex but we never really heard our neighbors. Don't expect too much with these... No coffee pot, hair dryer, iron... Certainly no TV or WiFi but then again if you are in Yellowstone there are far more interesting things to do... More
