Not many options in the area, so you might want to be aware of the tiny room you will get. It has the basic needs and shower runs fine. Leaving all your gear (hiking stuff) in your car might help. On the bight side, you are steps away of a lot of action, not only the old faithful geyser.

We were unable to get a reservation at Old Faithful Inn and ended up close by in the cabins. They are on the site of the original tent cabins and are very small and old. We were a little taken aback when we first saw it, but you need to think of it as comfortable camping. You do have a... More

Old Faithful is not the only thing that's old. Stay in a cabin and you know what I mean. This isn't the first cabin lodging I have stayed in, but it definitely ranks as the worst. They are so small that I could probably touch all four walls at once. Campers have larger bathrooms than these cabins. We also had... More

We stayed here for a night and we have nothing much to complain except the shower head. It was kinda loose and looked like its about to break off splashing water all over. We left a note after we check out and hope someone will fix it. We were asked to donate $2 for their conservation efforts, i wanted to... More

Basic accommodation in a fantastic location. The lodges are quite small but they are bigger than the lodges we had stayed in at Grand Canyon. They are quite basic with just a small en suite shower room. We knew what to expect so we were more than happy with the situation. We were very surprised to discover our booking included... More

It always amazes me that the cabins in the National Parks are so basic. All part of the pioneering-spirit/back-to-basics vibe I guess, but just across the way there'll always be an upmarket and very expensive hotel for those who can afford it. There's no middle ground, I can't be the only person who'd pay an in-between price for accommodation of... More

We stayed for one night in a Fromtier cabin with one queen and one single bed and liked this cabin better than the cabins in the Canyon Village. The location is equally great, but in these cabins there seemed to be some updates as the faucets looked quite new. The cabin was clean and cozy and you are next to... More

Yes, it is rustic and small but all that you need. There are no hairdryers, tv's or coffee pots in these cabins. When you walk in the door, there is 1 full bed, desk with drawers, chair and a sink. There is a small bathroom with toilet and shower. We had a cabin that you could see Old Faithful erupting... More

You could say that the lodge cabins are "primitive". We could barely move around both sides of the double bed. No TV, phone, coffee pot, fridge or internet, as advertised. We did have a private bath - be careful when you make reservations because some of the lodges do not have a bath in suite! But the room was very... More

The Old Faithful Frontier Cabins (Lodge check-in) actually exceeded my expectations. Here's why: 1)The cabin was actually cute inside - nicely decorated. The outside looks dumpy so I was surprised to see a nice inside. 2)Location, Location, Location - the cabin's less than a 5 minute walk to Old Faithful! 3)We had a cabin with a bathroom. It was worth... More
