This hotel sits on the edge of Yellowstone lake. The reception area and bar area is pleasant and there is often a piano player tinkling away. Great to sit and relax after a day on the trails or out seeing wildlife. The rooms are a little dated though which is a shame because they aren't cheap - but lets be... More

The location is fabulous - in general I think the park is so large that it is worth spending nights in the park than driving back and forth to a cheaper hotel near an entrance. Lake Y. Hotel in particular is in a wonderful spot overlooking the lake; we had a lake view room. The cleanliness of the room and... More

We stayed in a cabin and enjoyed the stay. The hotel was nice and provided a place for dinner and a gift shop when needed. We adventured all over the park and this was a good place to set up base camp. Make your reservations early as they fill up fast.

this hotel was perfect! Mom loved it. I loved it. Quaint. Great Service. a Piano and quartet scheduled in the lobby/resort area downstairs. a bar and in-hotel restaurant... old time feel, modern experience and the BEST part of our vacation aside from the wagon ride/trail ride with steak dinner! THIS is the place I would recommend to anyone! It's well... More

The Lake Yellowstone Hotel is more updated hotel with nice views and nice environment. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, and the furniture were nice. The restaurant food were great, but you need to make reservations way ahead of time. They don't take walk-in reservations. Also, you need to show-up on-time for the restaurant reservation. In the park, this is... More

We booked a superior room here at over $400 per night. While the accommodations were not superior we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is a charming 1920's style yellow hotel right across the street from Lake Yellowstone. Our room had a beautiful view of the lake. The hotel took me back to a time many decades ago of peacefulness, allowing... More

I stayed in the cabins for two nights, and thought they were really fab. The cabin had two beds and a lovely bathroom, and were clean and comfortable, and extrememly good value. They were a little way from the hotel itself, but were within walking distance of the shop and cafe. We saw loads of bison from our door, and... More

Beautiful hotel recently renovated. Our room was quite comfortable and had a great view of Lake Yellowstone. We stayed 3 nights and I wish it was more. Did not miss TV or internet. One night was a bit warm, however i pluged in the fan that was provided and it cooled off the room very quickly. Great location in the... More

We stayed here the first week of August. The location in the park is great, right on the lake. The old hotel has its charms with long corridors, a nice lobby with musical performances, and multiple levels that are confusing enough that the staff has to look up your room number to tell you which elevator to take to get... This hotel is one of the best experiences I have ever had, the location, the ambience, the foyer bar and the amazing restaurant. It is a must visit when in Yellowstone however book 12 months in advance. The restaurant participates in the Lake Yellowstone fishing experience cooking the fish that you catch for a nominal price, I think $20. When... More
