Stayed two nights in the Lake Lodge Cabins on our honeymoon. They're no 5 star hotel, but we knew that coming in and were prepared for it. For what they are, these are great. A little bit larger bed would have been nice as we're both 6'2" but for shorter/smaller people the beds would likely be just fine. The water... More

We rented the Frontier cabin at Lake Lodge in Yellowstone for 4 nights. Had an updated bathroom, clean carpets and bed, private, surrounded by wildflowers, the forest on the south and steps from the main lodge for meals. Had a Kreurig coffee maker but no phone, tv, internet, air conditioning. Lacking the modern amenities didn't bother us, you could pay... More

We stayed at the cabins in early September. It was 32 degrees F when we got up in the morning and we had to scrap car windows with the room card key. Our rental did not include an ice scraper! The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. There were benches and chairs to sit in the room. There... More

and the location are great! We really enjoyed staying here. We like the lodge atmosphere, and you could eat reasonably well for a moderate price in the dining hall. The public areas were very nice, including the front porch of the lodge, a great place for morning coffee, and watching the sunrise over the lake. We got a basic inexpensive... More

If you have to stay at the Lake cabins instead of in the Old Faithful or Canyon areas, ask for a renovated cabin, letter F or higher (they at least are surrounded by trees). The yellow cabins and the A-E brown cabins look like a sad WWII army compound surrounded by overgrown weeds and no trees. We had to endure... More

We stayed in one of the recently refurbished cabins, which from the outside were not particularly inviting, resembling an old army barracks from the 50s. Inside however, the accommodation was fine - comfortable and clean. I get the impression that few of the National Parks properties are designed to be luxurious, the main attraction being their position within the parks.... More

Sadly, the cabins are completely lacking in character. Relatively comfortable bed, tiny bathroom (not bad, just small), adequate lighting and an ancient heater that we needed due to a very cold and rainy visit. But the Zantera concessionaire at Lake Lodge is horrible. Truly bad not remotely good cafeteria food. Skip it. Brave the rain if you have to and... More

Booked these cabins because, frankly, we couldn't get anything else in the park so we weren't expecting much. In fact, they are quite large for two people, adequate for 4, and very nicely appointed. The area is quiet, right by the Lake (obviously) with very nice grounds. After this experience, these will be the first accommodations I try for next... More

They don't look like much from the outside but the room was clean, comfortable, spacious and had a great shower. I had more of a "cabin" in mind but it is more like a private motel room. The Lodge is at the front of the driveway to the cabins and is a wonderful place. Great lobby and front porch to... More
