The location in the lake area gave great access to yellowstone sightseeing. The Western cabins were quiet and peaceful. We had a plumbing issue and they were very quick to fix it while we were at dinner. There was an elk next to our front porch over night so be sure to look around before walking out to the car.... We have stayed at Lake Lodge before (years ago...in a much more rustic cabin). This cabin was updated and roomy (ours was part of a building with four cabins), and was a great place to spend an evening in the park. In the evening after eating at the Lake Lodge cafeteria, we relaxed a bit in the rocking chairs on... More

For the price, these cabins were a decent value since you get your own private bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, it was very small. The shower stall was little more than a tin can...I barely fit in it and constantly banged my elbows on the shower stall's walls which were made of thin metal. But, I digress...I would still gladly... More

We were in a western cabin, two queens. It was spacious and clean. There was a coffee maker in the room. There is a large outside concrete landing/porch with roof overhand that would be good to lay out and organize hiking gear. The cabins are not that close to the water, so if you want to enjoy the view, you... More

My family of four (kids ages 12 & 14) stayed in a western cabin with two queen beds and bath. While the accommodations are somewhat rustic, the room was much larger than our room in the Old Faithful Snow Lodge and all four of us plus luggage were fine for the three days we stayed. Admittedly, we didn't spend much... More

Stayed at the Western Cabin for 2 nights. They are expensive for what you get and are very old and dated. The road going to the cabins is basically a dirt road with no lights. Getting in after dark on the first day is tough. The room was spacious and clean so no complaints from that perspective. The bed was... More

We rented a Western cabin for 2 nights. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. There is no TV or phone, which is nice. The room doesn't have a fridge, but there is ice nearby. They do have a Keurig coffee maker! Very nicely renovated recently. The beds were a bit firm for me, but newer and not worn out.... More

Again, we booked 1 1/2 years ago and stayed on top of this booking for 3 families right up to hours before our late check in by confirming confirming confirming via phone and previous lodging. (And confirmed we would be late just hours before arrival) That does help to get your last stay to call within the system..sometimes unless you... More

We stayed in one of the cabins at lake lodge in Yellowstone and it was awful, as soon as we entered the room we were engulfed by sweltering heat it literally took your breath away. There seemed to be some sort of panel on the wall which was boiling hot along with a water tank that was equally as hot.... More

We stayed 3 nights and liked the cabin, it is simple but in keeping with park. Well located for all the sights. Food in the cafe rather basic, but ok and value for money. Would stay again. The trek up Mount Washburn really good, fantastic views over the park.
