The hotel is in good condition and has a nice gift shop. Beds were good and shower was clean. Perfect location for exploring the Canyon of the Yellowstone, Hayden Valley and Lamar Valley. Would definitely recommend Dunraven!

Canyon Village consists of a large square parking lot with the reception, dining room, cafeteria and shop on the perimeter of the lot. These buildings are functional if nondescript, and the restaurant was acceptable. Our accommodation was a short drive away, in Dunraven Lodge, a relatively new three-level structure, pleasant if bland and unmemorable.

Stayed at the Dunraven lodge in August 2014 and were surprised by the size of our room - very roomy for 2 with 2 double beds, a small dining table and chairs, sink and separate ensuite. All very clean and serviced daily with new sheets after 4 days. Cost was $194 a night and while not cheap given how central... More

We stayed at Dunraven Lodge just one night in July. The central location of this lodge is excellent. We stayed 2 nights at Old Faithful Inn, 1 night here and the last at Lake Yellowstone Hotel. If I ever go back, I would stay multiple nights in the Canyon area where Dunraven and Cascade Lodges are. The rooms are a... More

Very basic amenities but nice and clean. Great location. Walls a bit thin and the upstairs neighbors were heard too well. Supplied a fan which was nice. No elevator that we could find be aware of that!

If, like us, you want to get up early to maximise your chances of seeing wildlife, better to stay within the park. Hayden Valley is just down the road, Lamar Valley a 30 minute drive. Also Canyon of Yellowstone with its amazing gorge and waterfalls is tight on the doorstep. You check-in in the main complex where there are also... More

Our expectation was this would be a bit "motel-ish" so we really went into the Dunraven with lower expectations that we had for the other lodging choices we made for our family vacation. The building itself is quite nice and looks very inviting, but the room we were given #416, was very small for 2 adults and a 15-year-old. Two... More

Recently spent three nights at Dunraven Lodge in Canyon Lodge complex. While the property is average even by National Park standards, the location is ideal and, in my opinion, its best feature. Dunraven Lodge is very close to both Hayden Valley and the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone (which was a highlight for me), and only a 45 minute drive to... More

Dunraven looks like it has been recently modernized. So, the rooms are cute and are a nice size. The table in the room was the location for family game night. The staff was nice and accommodating. I asked for a room change(original room near elevator, vending area and ice machine) and they changed it without a problem. Try to get... More

Wow! I think because we stayed in cabins in Glacier National Park, my husband and I were expecting our accommodations at Yellowstone to be rustic and outdated. Nothing could be further from the truth! Our room at Dunraven Lodge was modern and clean! The shower was nice and large, the beds were comfortable, and we had a Keurig coffee machine... More
