This hotel provides a unique experience and is well worth a stay, even for one night. Some reviewers recommend that you just pop in during the day, but you'd probably end up seeing it in the worst light. During the day the place is rammed full of tourists and can be quite stressful, even in the off season when we... more

The Old Faithful Inn is one of the few remaining grande dames of the National Parks. The Inn is just so full of character. The rustic timber construction is truly amazing expecially considering the age and the location. The inn has everything required for a relaxing and stress decompressing stay, no TVs, no telephones, and no internet. In the evenings... more

We arrived two weeks after the Lodge opened after winter at 5pm to find our room "not ready" and no idea when it would be ready. The I had to spell our name 4 times to the lady on reception who had no idea what was going on. Eventually at 6pm we got the up graded room I paid for... more

First, this hotel is absolutely amazing when you think about when it was built and why. After spending many vacations in Yellowstone, we decided to finally stay at Old Faithful. My mom and I stayed for a couple of nights in late September. We had a premium west-wing frontside room overlooking the geyser basin. The view was beautiful! The room... more

We were in Yellowstone 3 years ago but could not get a room at the Inn. This time I made reservations in April for a room .One must keep in mind this is a historic Inn not a modern INN with hot tub and all the "other trimmings". Our room was on the side near the Yellowstone gift shop/coffee shop.... more

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful and historic hotel. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, despite being at capacity. I would stay here again mostly for conveince. Travel on park roads is slow going and I consider staying in the park to be worth our money despite higher prices on just about everything. The only rooms available were... more

Xanterra seems to take advantage of their monopoly and the prices are very high (double) compared to the town accomodation just outside Yellowstone. But still we choose to stay here as the amount of driving is substantailly lessened by staying in the park. The room was fine - 2 double beds, bath and good heating. No air-con, wifi, tv fridge.... more

This a Natinal Park property.... you stay here beacuse of the history and the location not for Service or luxury. Hotel doesn't have TV's..... you are here to see the Park not sit in a hotel room. That said, since Xanterra has a monopoly over every service provided inside Yellowstone they have not had to improve or compete. There's no... more

My 12 year old son and I stayed two nights at the Old Faithful Inn at the end of nearly two weeks in the Yellowstone area. First off, this is by far the most crowded area in the park during the summer months when we visited. I knew it would be going in but still I was blown away by... more

We spent the last couple days in the Old Faithful Inn during our week long tour through Yellowstone national Park. It was perfect romantic ending. Old, but graceful. more
