I know this is a National Park and we didn't expect luxury, but our room here was the worst I have ever stayed in. When I booked I chose the more expensive room because I was told that it had been renovated more recently. When we checked in, my husband asked me if being renovated in the 1940's was considered... more

Two years ago, we discovered what a great place Yellowstone is and managed to score a room at the Old Faithful Inn on a cancellation. It was a fantastic room overlooking OF geyser. For a significant birthday, I chose, out of the entire world, to return to Yellowstone and the Inn. I made reservations on-line a year in advance and... more

We started our Yellowstone adventure at OFI for 3 nights. The room was just fine - I enjoyed the "oldness" of it all. The building is just a fantastic structure to be inside of and to view. We stayed in the Old House with bathrooms down the hall. That took some getting used to, but the bathrooms were kept very... more

Here's the scoop. It is a grand old beautiful lodge that is part of American History and is well worth seeing. The geysers are cool as well, not just Old Faithful, but all the others that go off with less regularity. This lodge, the restaurants and some of the other facilities in Yellowstone are run by Xanterra, a private company... more

While we had a small room in the old part of the hotel with shared bath facilities, it was quite charming. Only complaint was that the shower facilities were on the floor above us. more

Tried for months to book a room, checked for a cancelation once we were in the park. They had a ground floor room on the Old Faithful side, which we could see from our room! The room was exactly what we expected, old, but quaint. All we did was sleep there, and it was quiet and comfy. Spent a couple... more

My husband and I took a trip to Yellowstone for our honeymoon the third week in June of 2009. I was most surprised by the cool weather in the mountains. The heat was never turned on in our room, so we wore pants, sweatshirts and a jacket most mornings and evenings in the building and outside for our walks around... more

The lodge has no amenities, please be advised that th lodge is old, the rooms are small, loud and with out air conditioning, TV internet and some don't have bathrooms. If you can't handle this, PLEASE DON'T BOOK THIS HOTEL! Let the rest of us have the reservations (they are very hard to get). And for goodness sake please don't... more

We stayed at the Old Faithful Inn for the first 3 nights of our stay in the park. We found it to be perfect for what we needed, regardless of that fact that we had to walk to the bathrooms. The walls are thin, to the point where we could hear our neighbors cell phone alarms and games of UNO,... more

We were looking forward to staying here as we had a great experience at the Many Glacier hotel in Glacier NP years ago. We reserved an "upper tier" room on the first floor. The pillow and bed smelled like body odor and the room in general needed serious updating. The only reason to stay here is location...but there must be... more
