This hotel matches the grandeur of Yellowstone. Wooden structure and large stairs lead you to your room. The are a bit dark but give you a sense of majestic. Mind you the rooms are not luxurious they are just basic but clean with good beds. But who needs luxury when you are in this wonderful park. There is a large balcony... More

Our family stayed two nights at the Old Faithful Inn. The room was very basic, but was clean. We were only in our room to sleep, since the views and the lobby are the show. The lobby is amazing. I'd recommend the quick Inn tour to learn more about the building. The restaurant was good and was convenient. The Inn... More

I've wanted to stay at the Inn ever since my first visit to Yellowstone many years ago. You can feel the history of the place when you walk into to the lobby area and look upward and take in the awesome and rustic architecture. So it's been on my bucket list for a long time. You need to plan ahead... More

The beds are hard and rooms small, but being able to walk out onto the balcony and watch Old Faithful geyser is amazing! Getting up very early with a cup of tea from the in room tea/coffee maker and waiting with a few other hardy souls was fantastic. In the day the hotel is very busy, but early morning walks... More

The Old Faithful Inn has a multi level lobby made from numerous logs with a huge fireplace to amaze you by it's height and beauty. Our room was clean and comfortable. Most of the staff are young people and most were freindly. We could see geysers from our room along with an occasional buffalo grazing near the Inn. There is... More

Our family travels to Yellowstone at least once a year and we always stay in the old section of the Inn. The building itself is historic and breathtaking. Relaxing in the lobby in the evening with a cocktail or coffee listening to the live music is spectacular. Highly recommend taking one of the several daily tours of the Inn to... More

Room barely qualified as a 3 star. Radiator noise prevented sleep and maintenance came at 3am. Otherwise great historical facility. Staff is eager to please. Food in dining room is good but expensive. Area is amazing.

I'm a huge fan of Trip Advisor and consult other's travel experience as I make plans for our own travel. I made reservations at the Old Faithful Inn a year in advance, which is pretty typical I've since learned. My husband had been to Yellowstone before but this was my first time. We flew from Virginia to Salt Lake City... More

The lobby area will take your breath away with huge stone fireplace with attached giant pendulum clock. The multi-story log infrastructure is an engineering marvel. The location adjacent to Old Faithful made geyser viewing incredibly convenient. You don't have to leave the hotel to observe if the weather is bad. The dining room serves ample and delicious food. The adjacent... More

Came here 45 years ago with our five month son and now we are back just to stay at the Old Faithful Inn...an architectural wonder. We had a standard bedroom in the west wing ($199) which was just that "standard" but it did have a nice bathroom and a bison right out the window on the first floor. The best... More
