First of all you do not stay at old faithful Inn for the luxury. You stay for the ambiance. If you need a spa, luxury, internet, TV , broadway shows etc. this is NOT the place for you. However, if you wish true western hospitality, and a wonderful wilderness outside your room than this may be the place for you.... More

We decided to visit Yellowstone Park at the end of the season. That was a very good decision as there were no crowds. The downside is that part of the loop was closed and many of the services/restaurants were closed also. But, the no crowd part of the equation was wonderful. I was very excited to book a Gesyer View... More

Amazing architecture - loved this old style Inn! We booked our room a 8 months in advanced and we got a lovely room with ... common bathrooms in the end of the hallway. The bathrooms were clean, it was just the distance that was uncomfortable. After hiking whole day - it was great to come back to this beautiful inn... More

Booked our room a year in advance and had a room with its own bathroom, thankfully. Room was a huge disappointment. It was old, and seedy looking. Beds were ok, furniture was in need of an update as was the entire room. Old windows shook with the wind. We were a long way from the lobby, and had to go... More

If you want to feel like you are in the old west, this is the place. This hotel is a tourist destination in itself, right up there with the geysers and bears. The lobby is incredible. The rooms are cozy. Yes, you may have to share a bathroom, yes it borders on roughing it. But YOU ARE IN YELLOWSTONE for... More

The lodge is beautiful and rustic. The lobby is beautiful. Our room was the least expensive with a bathroom. Many room categories require sharing a bathroom. The sink and mirror are in the bedroom portion of the room. The toilet and shower are separate. The lighting in the room was very dim. The beds were comfortable. The chest of drawers... More

You know your life is good when you get to stay in a room at Old Faithful Inn. Tour groups stop by just to gaze at the architecture of the lobby. They rush in, take pictures and then head back to the bus after watching Old Faithful Geyser shoot off. For some fortunate few they get to actually stay there,... More

I was a little concerned about facing crushing crowds at the Old Faithful Inn. While there are plenty of folks around during the day, come night fall, the buses leave and people are settling in at other locations around the park. In early July, at about 10pm there were wolves roaming around the outside of the lodge. I booked our... More

If you're expecting modern accommodations, this probably is not your cup of tea. But if you want an experience of a lifetime, steeped in history, and magnificent location, then you'll be more than happy staying here. The setting is among geothermal activity. Old Faithful right outside. Most rooms in the Old House share a bathroom but a few do not.... More

The room was nothing special (although most of the time was not spent in the room). We reserved 3 rooms and we had one room overlooking the old faithful geyser. Even that view wasn't worth it since the window did not open. However, I would still recommend staying at this hotel. They have a viewing platform where you can grab... More
