We were a bit worried that this place would be crowded and noisy, but that was not the case. After the hordes of tourists leave in the late afternoon, the area is quiet. We enjoyed Old Faithful without the crowds as well as walking the geyser basin in the early am and later evening, hiking during the middle of the... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in a room in the main house with a shared bathroom. Our room was cosy with wood paneling and a small sink, but a bit dark for reading without a torch. They had provided dressing gowns too which was a nice touch. Our room was the cheapest option but had a lot of character.... More

Date of stay: 7/1-7/2/2015. Overview: Book your room early and accept no less than a superior room. The difference of $40 gets you a better room and nicer bathroom. The Xanterra web site is extremely cumbersome. You must search each facility separately and re input your dates. It took approximately 45 minutes to book each of our rooms. This location... More

First impression when you walk in the Lobby is Wow, but when you look closer it is all a bit tired. My Room was average, but did have a bathroom. Dining room very big, but then large number of people to cater for. You had to "book a time' to get a meal. Did offer a very good selection of... More

Very much enjoyed our 1-night stay at this stunning historic lodge. We had a Standard Room in the West Wing, which was small but comfortable, & very quiet. Look out for the cute bear soap! We loved being able to walk just outside or sit upstairs on the outside deck & watch Old Fathful erupting. The interior of OF Inn's... More

Old structure was ok for me. Lobby with chimney and logs finished was very impressive. But rooms with carpet so faded look so dirty and old that's not ok. You are not going to stay in the lobby. You're going to sleep in the room, so the room and bathroom should be clean. Sad to say maybe the motel would... More

The lobby of this hotel resembles Grand Central Station. 1/4 of it is taken up with commercial enterprise, Lines for dinner stretch out into another 1/4. Because of its historic significance, people crowd into the remainder, gawking and taking pictures. If you are staying here and wish to escape your stifling room, there is no place for you to go. No... More

The hotel has a century old charm, and the lobby is straight out of a Disney Theme Park. The rooms however are bizarre, to say the least. First of all they don't have bathrooms or showers. You have to get dressed in one of their goofy robes and walk down the hall to the restroom to use the shower. Unfortunately... More

My wife and the rest of our family enjoyed our stay . When booking the rooms its best to call them and speak with a booking agent rather than online. The entire hotel is a step back in time and is great if you want to get away. The rooms are rustic but comfortable. But they do not have air... More

We spent 4 nights in 4 different Yellowstone hotels. Research is key to enjoying your stay - Many of the negative comments that come out in reviews are at least knowable before you get there. None of the "in park" hotels are cheap - the prices are published online. this one is a classic landmark - even if you don't... More
