This is one of the coolest hotels we have ever stayed in. Our room was in the old section which made it even better. We loved sitting on the second story deck watching Old Faithful explode. We loved the uniqueness of our room and we loved the location. If you are visiting Yellowstone this Inn is a must.

This is a great hotel with a wonderful story and unique history. You can see and hear all of this without staying in the hotel. You are paying to stay 100yards from Old Faithful, which isnt a bad thing. Just make sure you realize the value is in the landscape.

Great base for touring. Check schedule for geysers at reception when you arrive. Also book tours. Photography tour was amazing. I learned so much. Accommodation was a bit 1950s (we were in annex) but was warm and had hot water. Trees were in way of geyser view so don't pay for that. No wifi but if you walk 5 minutes... More

If you miss this total immersion in Yellowstone, you might as well stay home. From the massive log construction, the multi-story fireplace, the namesake geyser in front to the buffalo in the parking lot this is the ultimate park experience. Of course you have to deal with the spartan rooms -- clean and simple-- with no modern amenities; and you... More

What a great location for a hotel--right in the heart of the hot springs/geysers. Beautiful interior and a few eateries and shops conveniently inside. The food at the main restaurant was decent. We liked the bison steak & burger & moose tracks ice cream.

We stayed here in August of 2014 for 2 nights while exploring the park. We were in the 'newer' part of the lodge and the rooms are very basic. No A/C, and no TV, etc. Rooms don't have much to offer except a clean shower and a bed but after a couple of days of hiking all over the park... More

Yes, the hotel is old, has no TV or internet. You cannot beat the awe of sitting on the second floor balcony and watching Old Faithful. The viewing area around the geyser may get you closer, but the crowds detract from the experience. We had breakfast in the main dining room. It was good, but not speedy, but you are... More

Staying at Old Faithful Inn is an experience to be savored, not hurried. I will tell you what it's not. It's not for the person who has to have a television, a phone, consent buzz of man. If you can just catch your breath and let her, she will keep all your troubles at bay and wrap you in arms... More

I stayed in Old Faithful Inn at the end of September last year. I have been meaning to review it ever since. The challenge has been deciding what grade to give it, given that my head thinks it deserves 4 stars, and my heart thinks it deserves 5. My head was disappointed by the paper thin walls and the fact... More

Absolutely amazing hotel. So historical - we would wake up and stroll out to the geysers every morning. Highly recommend making a reservation at least 6 months in advance. The lobby is breathtaking, 6 stories of pure post and beam.
