Hats off to the people that run this place. It runs like a well oiled machine. This place is very busy and always full in summer. We stayed for 4 days. They give you enough shower tokens to cover each person for 1 shower a day, then you have to pay extra. The campsites are large and not too close... More

All I can say, yellowstone was the most amazing experience ever! This camp ground was super close to everything and it had bathrooms pretty close to our campsite. Very large campsites too, super wooded so lots of privacy and it really feels like you're out in the wilderness.. Because you ARE. I would do it 1,000 times over

We stayed here in early June with family. Our kids had a tent and we were in our travel trailer but the Park managed to get us into two sites next to one another, both of which backed up onto a small creek and the piney forest. While we had to back up into our space, it was wide so... More

Ok but highly overpriced. Soiled carpet, etc. Very safe for a woman alone, although be sure to bring pajamas safe for no-privacy if windows open in hot weather. During the day it was hot and they provided a wonderful table fan. At night it got quite cold and I wanted to use the furnace but it was so full of... More

We were recently camping in trailers at Canyons campground and found the sites to be VERY close together. When our neighbors went to use their table and fire we had to all decide who's table and fire ring were who's. Not that it mattered because we were all about 30 feet from each other. The checkin process was smooth and... More

Though the campground was full most of the time we were there, the sites were spaced out enough that you still had privacy. The washrooms are clean and have mirrors which is a plus. The close by (walking distance) showers are clean and have a lot of room (2 free showers per night). The general store, gift shop and visitor... More

Wonderful location for southern part of park and Grand Tetons. Pretty private and nice campsites given its size. About 15 minutes from Old Faithful and 30ish from Canyon. Northern part of park would be a hike. Showers are great (12-15 stalls very little wait) and you get 2 free per night and then pay nominal amount. We were in one... More

We stayed two nights in Madison campground and two nights here at Canyon. This was a much better campground. The lots were spaced out much more and you were more in touch with nature. We saw a deer 20 ft from our rv. The location is also very nice being right in the middle of the park.

If you want to camp in the park and want to have the comfort of knowing you have a campsite waiting for you when you arrive to Yellowstone, this is the way to go. There are more secluded places to camp, but many of those don't take advance reservations. That means arriving early and driving around until you see someone... More

Camped here during a rainy spell. No problem (we thought) - just use a tarp. Ha! We pitched the tent and went to dinner. When we returned from dinner, the entire site was under water, including our tent. Would be nice if they could keep track of the low sites and try to not assign them to tenters during rainy... More
