We stayed here for two nights and it was wonderful. I appreciate that they have tent-only loops to avoid obnoxious RV generators. The sites seem to be pretty close together, with a few exceptions. We were lucky to be assigned what had to be one of the best sites in the area - Site C63. We had no immediate neighbors... More

We were fortunate to be able to find a place to stay in this highly requested campground. Luckily, a few people must have cancelled their reservation, so we benefitted from their change of plans. It is helpful to call the Canyon Village Campground office to inquire about possible cancellations since this is how we were able to attain the reservation-... More

We camped here and it was a great location. I was worried about crowded and nosiness because of reviews I had read but it was still nice and peaceful. Also it's a great central location to any area of the park. The cost includes two showers per night. They have laundry availability if needed. They also offer horseback riding and... More

We only stayed here because there weren't any other options during August. The location is very good for visiting the Yellowstone canyon area. The fee is higher than other campgrounds, but probably because two showers were included in our one night stay ... the showers were great, being allowed to stay in them as long as we wanted. Campground is... More

I loved Canyon Campground. It was central to all the sites, although still a bit of a drive in any direction. We didn't get the campsite we originally requested but our site was still big enough for a large tent and our trailer. Toilets were flushable, which was a plus, and bear proof garbage bins were easily accessible. The staff... More

This site was well situated for exploring the canyon of Yellowstone with a number of hikes from the campsite. Each loop has a toilet block, a washing up sink, trash bin and drinking water but the only showers are at the site entrance. The showers were clean if a long way away. The RV dump station was very well laid... More

We stayed in 'J' loop in a tent. Yellowstone is very efficient in their campgrounds. We were checked in and given the bear safety spiel. We easily found our location. It was clean and spacious and had a picnic table and metal fire pit with grate. Firewood is available for a reasonable price. Don't bother buying the tinder as you... More

Four of us (two adults and two kids ages 7 & 10) stayed here for four nights recently and were very impressed/satisfied with this campground. The location is ideal in that it is fairly centrally located in the park. The setting itself is outstanding - we were in tent only loop E and were surprised at how quiet and "roomy"... More

We made reservations way in advance (8+months) and requested a site that could accommodate a large, family size tent of 8'X12'. Well, when we got there, the site we had was barely big enough to hold a two person tent, on the side of a hill, mind you. The lady at the registration desk said they were full up and... More

The campground is in a great location, allowing you to reach pretty much any point of interest in Yellowstone in a matter of an hour or so. Although it does not have fully private sites like many campgrounds in Alberta, we still got a very nice and large tent-only site in Loop E. While we could see and occasionally hear... More
