When I booked this lodge I expected that for the price I would get very nice accommodation. I guess it is all about the location! I stayed in a motel on the way to the park for a third of the price than this one which had better facilities. There is wi fi but it is not free, there was... More

I read in one of my Yellowstone travel books that Grant Village is the last of the Yellowstone lodging you want to stay in. I don't agree with that at all. We stayed there our last night in Yellowstone because we couldn't get into Old Faithful, and we didn't want a real long drive back to West Yellowstone airport. Our... More

The Grant Village is one of several facilities within Yellowstone. The rooms were average in size, convenience, cleanliness and comfort. Don't focus on the rooms: nothing special. Focus on the location. Walk through the woods to meals (or take the courtesy van) and enjoy good food with a magnificent, truly unparalleled view of Yellowstone Lake and the geysers steaming in... If this hotel was in a populated area in civilization I would have rated it no better than average. However, considering its location, I think they do a decent job. Indeed the rooms seem dormitory-like, but they were clean and comfortable. We ate at both restaurants on the property and both were good, but we preferred the upper restaurant over... More

Have to agree with a lot of the other reviews. The fact that your in a National Park means you can be cgarged way over the odds for what is in effect a basic motel. The room was clean and had most things you could need. I didn't expect wi-fi but to have it available at a surcharge when we... More

Grant Village was the low point of our Yellowstone/Tetons trip. It lacked the charm (but had the price tag) of the other in-park lodging options. It felt like a poorly constructed dorm room. It also smelled like someone had smoked in the room recently despite efforts to cover up the smell. Perhaps Grant Village would be better in high season,... More

I can start with, no cell phone (dead zone), no T.V., no noisy neighbors, very clean and comfortable rooms considering you're in bear country and two good restaurants both with lake views. The less pricey one has the best lake view, good food at a reasonable price and has great beers on tap.

We stayed at 3 different lodges in Yellowstone because of the availability of rooms left when we booked in August. Of the 3, this was our least favorite and the least expensive. If you just want basic, lean, and clean, this is it. Nothing special, but we hope when the renovation is complete, the rooms will be upgraded and more... More

Where to start? There are numerous critical remarks by Tripadvisor contributors re Grant Village, most of which are justified based on my experiences on a three night stay. Even though my expectations were low when I arrived I was still surprised by the numerous negative issues at this lodging. It very much reminded me of travelling in the Soviet Block... More

We recently spent a night at the GrantVillage Lodge. The accommodations were adequate but the room were small, and wifi was an additional fee. The room was decorated with a Western theme. There was a Kerig coffee maker in the room but that was about the only amenity. We knew that there would not be a TV either. The room... More
