The staff at the front desk were helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms were far from check in and after a day of hiking I had little energy to walk everywhere. The room needed a good dusting but was okay for one night. From our room all we could see were trees and the parking lot. I was hoping for a... More

Clearly the cost to stay at this lodge is a reflection of its location - a remote Park, in fairly inaccessible mountains. So, yes, the price is outlandish, for what you get. The actual facility is not that bad, if somewhat "dormatorish", as some have said The food at the restaurant was some of the worst of our 3 week... More

We stayed here for 2 nights on our US coach tour - the rooms were large and clean with comfortable beds. There is no TV or Internet access in the rooms, but surprisingly we didn't miss it. We ate in the Lakeside Restaurant, which if you follow the little map and signs was reasonably easy to find - the food... More

The main reason to stay here is for the location; you are in the National Park, so closer to the attractions you want to see. We found out a few weeks before our visit that a road was going to be closed in the park, making our travel times/distances significantly longer. Xanterra worked with us to change one of our... I wasn't sure what to expect based on some of the reviews but booked anyways. We were pleasantly surprised. The beds were comfortable and perfect for a one nights stay. This isn't the Ritz but we knew that ahead of time. We felt it was an affordable option for our itinerary. The bathroom reminded me of my dorm life in... More

Stayed here 2 nights as part of Cosmos tour. PROs: Clean and comfortable room with 2 queen size beds, coffeemaker and environmentally friendly toiletries. CONS: No Elevator, refrigerator, microwave or TV. I stayed in Elk part of Lodge, rather isolated but there is a van shuttle that you can call and use to get to and from restaurant, etc. The... More

Ok one has to sacrifice ones normal 'luxury' life style for the beauty of Yellowstone Park. It's not the staying in the lodge that matters it's getting around in beautiful surroundings before feeding then getting ones head down for a further day of exciting exploration. The Lodge was comfortable and the major problem was getting food in the restaurant -... More

We stayed right at the end of the season, so rates were probably at their lowest. Rooms are small, and pretty basic, but clean and comfortable. No TV, but wifi available for $11 per day (a necessity for me). The restaurant was overwhelmed by a couple of bus groups the first night we stayed, and we had to wait half... More

This lodge is in dire need of updating. The exterior and parts of the interior are very shabby. The walls are paper-thin so you hear EVERYTHING the people in the next rooms say or do. In addition, our room was off the entry foyer, so we had all of that noise as well. Parking is at a premium at night... More

This lodge is average. The rooms were basic, no TV, nothing fancy at all, I think you had to pay for wifi which I didn't do. However, the restaurants were very good, even the breakfast. This is the closest lodge to Old Faithful EXCEPT the road was out when we were there so instead of taking 1/2 hour it took... More
