I wasn't sure what to expect based on some of the reviews but booked anyways. We were pleasantly surprised. The beds were comfortable and perfect for a one nights stay. This isn't the Ritz but we knew that ahead of time. We felt it was an affordable option for our itinerary. The bathroom reminded me of my dorm life in... More

Stayed here 2 nights as part of Cosmos tour. PROs: Clean and comfortable room with 2 queen size beds, coffeemaker and environmentally friendly toiletries. CONS: No Elevator, refrigerator, microwave or TV. I stayed in Elk part of Lodge, rather isolated but there is a van shuttle that you can call and use to get to and from restaurant, etc. The... More

Ok one has to sacrifice ones normal 'luxury' life style for the beauty of Yellowstone Park. It's not the staying in the lodge that matters it's getting around in beautiful surroundings before feeding then getting ones head down for a further day of exciting exploration. The Lodge was comfortable and the major problem was getting food in the restaurant -... More

We stayed right at the end of the season, so rates were probably at their lowest. Rooms are small, and pretty basic, but clean and comfortable. No TV, but wifi available for $11 per day (a necessity for me). The restaurant was overwhelmed by a couple of bus groups the first night we stayed, and we had to wait half... More

This lodge is in dire need of updating. The exterior and parts of the interior are very shabby. The walls are paper-thin so you hear EVERYTHING the people in the next rooms say or do. In addition, our room was off the entry foyer, so we had all of that noise as well. Parking is at a premium at night... More

This lodge is average. The rooms were basic, no TV, nothing fancy at all, I think you had to pay for wifi which I didn't do. However, the restaurants were very good, even the breakfast. This is the closest lodge to Old Faithful EXCEPT the road was out when we were there so instead of taking 1/2 hour it took... More

When I booked this lodge I expected that for the price I would get very nice accommodation. I guess it is all about the location! I stayed in a motel on the way to the park for a third of the price than this one which had better facilities. There is wi fi but it is not free, there was... More

I read in one of my Yellowstone travel books that Grant Village is the last of the Yellowstone lodging you want to stay in. I don't agree with that at all. We stayed there our last night in Yellowstone because we couldn't get into Old Faithful, and we didn't want a real long drive back to West Yellowstone airport. Our... More

The Grant Village is one of several facilities within Yellowstone. The rooms were average in size, convenience, cleanliness and comfort. Don't focus on the rooms: nothing special. Focus on the location. Walk through the woods to meals (or take the courtesy van) and enjoy good food with a magnificent, truly unparalleled view of Yellowstone Lake and the geysers steaming in... If this hotel was in a populated area in civilization I would have rated it no better than average. However, considering its location, I think they do a decent job. Indeed the rooms seem dormitory-like, but they were clean and comfortable. We ate at both restaurants on the property and both were good, but we preferred the upper restaurant over... More
