Roosevelt Lodge is a very rustic spot that makes a good start to a vacation in Yellowstone. We did the "grand loop", staying our first night at Roosevelt and then on to Lake Lodge, Old Faithful Inn, and Mammoth Hot Springs before returning home to the north. I say it makes a good start because the Tower-Roosevelt area certainly has... More

The cabin is small with a desk, bed and wood stove. There is no private bathroom so you'll use the public one with showers. Luckily it is very close to all cabins and had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. It gets pretty cold at night so you'll want to light the fire before you go to sleep, you'll probably need... We were in a roughrider cabin, two doubles, shared bath. There was not a lot of room in there for baggage. The pellet stove worked pretty well and got the room toasty at night, but unfortunately, it was freezing by the time the morning came. We brought our down sleeping bags in and used them as extra covers. Without them,... More

Cabin pre-assigned, so had no choice by 3 pm. It sits across creek, but close to lodge and bath. Simple room with 2 double beds, but cool wood stove with wood chip blocks. Since it gets cold at night nice to have stove, tho we like the coolness and extra blanket (provided). Bed comfortable, but lights never strong enough to... More

My family stayed here two nights, the first in a one bedroom cabin and the second in two of the simple cabins, both were awesome but it was nice to have a sink and restroom in the first cabin :) But the rustic cabins were more authentic and we had to stay warm by the wood stove, which the kids... Spent three days on a family vacation at the Roosevelt Lodge cabins then returned a week later for a three day fishing trip with the guys and stay there as well. On both occasions the staff was wonderful. Using the wood stove for heat took some getting used to drink cold summer nights. The Roosevelt area is a great location... More

This was a most excellent place to stay. It has all the charm of a lodge in northern Wisconsin with fine dining and friendly staff. We stayed in both a rough rider cabin(no bathroom) and a pioneer cabin with a bathroom. Both were comfortable but with kids, they preferred the later. We continued to come back to Roosevelt to eat... Plain and simple, just a cabin with NO amenities- even have to use a central rest room -but very clean and quiet!! best location in the park to see wildlife. wonderful staff from the GM to all the help!! Dana went out her way to help us extend. May not be for everyone but a great experience. Wonderful dinning facilities... More

We stayed at Roosevelt Lodge on the 3rd and 4th nights of our 10 night stay in Yellowstone. We were very lucky to get one of the few Frontier cabins ( which are the cabins with private bath). We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Roosevelt Lodge. Our cabin was adorable. It included 2 beds, a sink and mirror, a fan,... More

Excellent place to stay. Beautiful wood work inside. Rooms were good. Staff was excellent. Restaurant was good. Good location to see yellowstone park sites. Saw lots of bison and elk herds! Nice relaxing laid back environment. Plan to go back.
