4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We stayed in these Cabins at the end of August 2014, It was very cold the temperature went down to 32 degrees that night we stayed, they have a little stove with wood you can burn, unfortunately for us they never told us where more wood pellets were, we froze. I loved the location, I loved the VERY rustic feel,... More

We stayed in the cabins with in-room bathroom and 2 double beds. The cabin was quite good and clean and spacious. The location of this lodge is very good ... there are many wonderful things to see on both sides of the park. Its the best place to stay if you are going to lamar valley to see wildlife... The... stayed hear for 6 nights and loved the location and cabins, the cabins are low key but that adds to the rustic feel you are in such a wonderful location so close to Lamar valley. When i booked a cabin I was not sure if to book the cabins with own bathroom but as there was big price difference for... More

Great place - stayed in a rough rider cabin for two, very clean room and excellent location. Shower blocks also very clean - soap and towels were provided. BBQ area available for those who wish. Bears frequent the area quite close to the lodge. Lamar valley is great for a late scenic drive close by.

If you have the choice I would definitely stay in the park and the Roughrider Cabin we stayed in was great. OK they are not 4 star but if you want the whole western feel experience they are the way to go. The cabin we had was basic but extremely clean and not too far away from the toilet and... More

The first place we stayed at in Yellowstone National Park. There's just something about Roosevelt Cabins that is so charming. It's not too big; it's hard by Lamar Valley and some of the prettiest sights in the Park; and the food is great too. We were lucky since we booked late, and basically got this because of a cancellation. Book... More

Stayed there for three nights. Our first time there and we were very happy with the stay. The hotel staff were super friendly and most helpful (check in/check out plus handling random questions). Rooms were sparse but certainly comfortable and clean. Restaurant wait staff were attentive and friendly. Food was good -- surprisingly the menu was broad too -- so... More

Having stayed in a Rough-rider cabin which are very rustic and cute with two single beds, a table, and a wood fired furnace, one is left to walk to one of 3 toilet blocks serving over approx 140 cabins. The closest block to us had two toilets and two showers. Totally inadequate for the number when occupancy runs at 100%... More

Our first stay here. Roughrider cabins are small, comfortable, cozy and clean. Plenty of things to do at and around this location. Plenty of wildlife in the area. Food at lodge is excellent and worth the wait since everything is first-come, first-served. Wagon ride to cookout was our highlight. Great stories about local history from the staff Curt told great... More

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 17 & 14 y/o daughters) stayed here for 2 nights in a 3 bed Roughrider Cabin (#52) and loved it! It was definitely our favorite area of the park. We did not mind not having a bathroom in the cabin as the bathrooms were very clean and provided the necessary amenities. We woke up... More
