Tent camped here for several weeks. This isnt your basic primitive campground. Although there are no facilities on site, this campground is much better suited to RV campers than those tenters looking for some privacy and solitude. The sites are small, close in without much tree cover and privacy. It is about a 15 minute ride to the village of... More

Pros: - Maximum Value! (That magical place where quality outweighs cost). We camped for 4 nights on a "Grant small tent and/or RV Site 20ft Total or L" @ the senior rate of $15.00 after tax, which is half the regular rate after tax. We had a 12x12 tent, 8x8 tent, motor cycle w. pull trailer with PLENTY of room.... More

I was in the J loop bordering the lake. I loved walking directly behind my tent to enjoy sunrise and sunset on the lake. It's a must. The campground is a large campground in a popular national park so you will need to expect people and some noise although I had no issues. I was a single female camper during... More

this campground was fine, but really didn't have anything to make me want to stay there again. the size of the site was fine for us - we had two 2-person tents, and there was plenty of space. all the sites seemed to be within fairly close access to toilets which was good. the showers are in a separate area... Our campsite was very clean. Surrounded by trees and near the lake. Quiet at night. Everything about our stay....from check in to departure was nice. The bathrooms were clean and stocked. The employees were pleasant. We can't wait to return. BTW, we are "tent campers"

Grant Village Campground is a very large campground with around 400 sites across 11 or so loops. My wife and I tented 3 nights in J Loop which was a nice location although there were some issues with noise due to it's proximity to the Grand Loop Road and the elk in rut bugling through the night within a 100... We really enjoyed our stay here with two other couples. It is very pretty, though quite crowded. .There is a nice short walk to the lake. It was centrally located for day trips to all the sights on our motorcycles. The only big negative is that the spaces were rather small for large RV's. We had tree limbs that were... More

It was our first camping experience so I would say for us this was the best as it had all the facilities. It is though not good for regular campers as there are a lot of people around. Even we were bothered by people to not talk in the night which was ridiculous. I don't think quite hours even mean... More

This was a nice campground. Not very private, but clean and tidy. Didn't like the fact that you have to drive the opposite direction on a one way "path" through the campground to park the RV as the sites are all a "Pull-Off" not a "Pull-Through". Friendly people, all amenities are close, and the lake is a hop, skip and... More

My adult son and I stayed here on Monday Night, August 5, 2013 during our 9 day Great Western Epic Mountain Bike and National Parks Adventure. It was crowded, but what do you expect from the most popular National Park. We noticed a large amount of international visitors. Not a problem, just an observation. We had a basic tent campsite...
