It was OK. Pros: 1. Very family oriented. 2. A pool. 3. cabins are very nice; have cable and a TV AND running water. Sinks big enough to bath a baby. 4. Nice campers, quiet CONS: 1. Pool only heated on busy days IF owner feels it's needed, even though advertised as heated. 2. Restrooms NOT cleaned daily. I had... More

When we booked at this campground it wasn't out first choice, but after staying there we are glad to stayed here. We stayed in one of the upper loops, and even thought out neighbours looked very close by (no trees to separate sites like in Madison campground), our neighbours were very quiet and we felt like we had privacy. Their... More

This was almost the first time I'd gone camping, and it was certainly the first time I was camping solo. Based on that, I appreciated seeing the other families camping around me. The location is pretty nice, the bathrooms are pretty decent. I didn't run into any issues. I was a little farther from the lake, but it was nearby,... More

We really enjoyed our stay at this campground. We stayed on H loop and had a great camp spot with lot of trees. The marina that is close by has a convenient store for picking up any items you forgot to bring. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The bottom loops look crowded without many trees or any privacy.... More

I visit yellowstone every year for a week and this is my favorite campground. Having said that, I strongly recommend that if you're planning a visit to this campground that you request a campsite in the upper loops. The upper loops are covered in trees and you don't feel like you are on top of other campsites. If you get... More

Bathrooms are clean. Facilities are convenient. We stayed in F loop and enjoyed the privacy. There were some occasional road sounds, but nothing obnoxious. The bathrooms were clean and included flush toilets and running water. There were bear boxes among the site and a sink at the bath house for dish washing.

The open-meadow-mostly-tents loop D has a nice breeze in mosquito season, which seems like a very fine plus in August. What we lacked in privacy at our site we gained in camaraderie with our neighbors. While the rest-room and dish-washing sinks have only cold water, I'm grateful in bear country for a place to wash away from the tent site.

13 y/o daughter: It was okay. Our tent site was in a space where we could very clearly see and hear everything the people next to us did. Being on the back loop did help, though, and the ranger programs were fun. 41 y/o mother/wife: I thought this was a very nice campground for national park tent camping. The front... More

We stayed there for more than a week and loved it . There were no showers but we just drove to the fishing camp grounds , and that was not a problem . It might depend where you are in the camp site but it did not feel crowded or lacking privacy to us ( and I am talking about... More

The campground was exactly what I expected - tent sites spaced closely together - but it was Yellowstone in high-season and we got one of the last sites available so we weren't going to complain. The bathrooms were thankfully spaced quite closely to the sites so a 4 am bathroom run wasn't much of a problem. The neighbors were still... More
