We have visited Yellowstone NP many times over the years during summers, having camped in the park a few times and stayed in many of the park lodges.  Early January was our first winter visit to Yellowstone and we thoroughly enjoyed it.  We stayed 2 nights at the Mammoth Hotel (separate review) followed by 2 nights at Old Faithful Snow... Very nice hotel and cabins, large comfortable rooms and nice bar and dining room. When you consider that in the Winter you are really in a fairly remote place, yet with all the conveniences of a good modern hotel it looks even better. The food is very good. The scenery can't be beat. The National Park Service has a winner in... More

This was by far the best hotel we stayed in while touring Yellowstone and Grand Tetons National Parks. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with pretty standard North American hotel decor. Food in the restaurant was good - try the bison short ribs which were delicious. The location is great, a five minute walk to Old Faithful and right on... More

We really enjoyed our 2 nights here. The room was clean, comfortable and well designed with plenty of storage. The location was great and within walking distance of the geyser and visitor center. The food was very good especially the trout and beef tenderloin. We would stay here gain.

The lodge is perfectly designed. The lights, woodwork, beds, artwork , etc all so pleasing to eye. We felt so relaxed just sitting in room, restaurant, lobby. Beautiful facility Best part is walk outside to see all the geysers. Cross Country skies and snowshoes available for rent. Food VG in restaurant and grill quick and acceptable. Winter in Yellowstone fantastic.

We were very unhappy with our room. It was small and stuffy. The only window was a small crank out type that afforded little to no ventilation. Even with a fan, the window open as far as it would go, and the temperature dropping to 40 F at night, the room never had any air flow or dropped below about... More

You see Yellowstone at it's best in the winter. No crowds. No vehicles except snow coaches and snowmobiles. Breathtaking scenery and plenty of animals. Old Faithful Snow Lodge is excellent. Check-in was quick for our tour group of 34. Rooms were bright and clean, Restaurant was great. It's "the only show in town" during the winter months, but Xanterra does... More

Some places would take advantage of being the "only game in town". To Xanterra's credit, they constantly strive for a quality accommodation. Check-in was, as expected fast, friendly and effortless - apparently you just can't ask these people to tire of responding to odd requests and stupid questions! For a change, we started this stay in the Western Cabins. As... More

The Snow Lodge was an overnight stop we had planned as a part of our Yellowstone NP snowmobile trip out of West Yellowstone and 3 Bear Lodge. After a full day of snowmobiling, it was a quick and painless check-in, our backpack was waiting for us at the front desk. The rooms are simple but comfortable and clean. The lobby... More

We just returned from a great winter vacation in YNP. We stayed 2 nights at Snow Lodge. We loved the rustic mountain decor (even though it is new). The location is perfect for many excursions. Our room was spacious with large window - we were on the 2nd floor. The rooms were spotless. Can't beat the atmosphere in the common... More
