Pros: Great location in center of Old Faithful complex, beautiful rustic architecture, spacious grounds, No TV or free internet - but by design and should not be expected or missed. Pay-for-internet works fine for e-mail. Cons: Rooms small and a little dated, but designed for quaintness and not to spend time inside!

We stayed here a week ago, and I was pleasantly surprised. Xanterra does a really good job running these hotels for the National Park. I booked in April for our stay in August. I thought this would be an old wore down lodge, but it is actually quite nice. I would call it a hotel over a "lodge". The front... More

I had the opportunity to stay in the cabins this time. I have stayed at the lodge as well. The lodge is very clean with a restaurant and gift shop in the same building. A lounge is also available next to the restaurant. The staff is always friendly, and able to answer most of your questions about the area, or... More

We stayed as part of an Insight Vacations Tour Package, We were not in the lodge itself but an aux building across the way. This was a great location - we could easily walk over to Old faithful to catch an eruption. The facilty was clean, anm well maintained. There was a store nearby and the resturant was convenient.

We stayed 2 nights in a first floor room in the Snow Lodge because no rooms were available at the Old Faithful Inn next door. While the Inn has beautiful classic architecture and a huge lobby and restaurant, we were glad to be at the Snow Lodge because it was more quite, less people in the lobby, and newer. The... More

We just spent 4 nights at yellowstone. For one night we were at Snow Lodge Cabin. These were the worst cabins of our 4 nights, we also were at Mammoth and Canyon Village. The snow lodge cabins are in the middle of an asphalt parking lot. The highway that goes into old faithful goes around these. It really was a... More

Our room was lovely, large clean and airy albeit a little bit cold as the heating wasn't working. The bathroom was very small in relation to the room but clean and functional, shower lacked power but that is a minor niggle.. The sound-proofing however is another problem, the people in the room above us got up at 5:30am and they... More

booked a frontier cabin it was a little dated and dreary but as far as base for viewing all the geyser basins it was great, the cabin 705 was larger than I expected with plenty of towels supplied daily a heater that warmed the room up quick and a coffee maker. Oldfaithful is only a short walk and it was... More

The Old Faithful Snow Lodge is one of the newest and most modern lodges in the park. The decor is top notch, the beds are quite conformable and the bathroom is modern. The one issue I noticed is that sound insulation between rooms was below what I would expect. It didn't have an major issues but could hear noise from... More

Stunning main hall which features amazing carved local wood with beautiful patina and knarled features. I was not ready for this sight even though I had read much about it. The only way we could visit here and overcome the two year waiting list is to join a Caravan tour. It proved to be worth it although I would not... More
