If you want to stay in the park in winter then this is the place to be. The accommodation modern, clean and comfortable although the rooms can be slightly warm which is no bad thing in winter! The only negative thing about our stay is this was one of the few places I had to pay for wifi but then... More

We stayed here two days in the winter on a tour and were impressed with the quality of a hotel with a captive audience. Comfort was great, it was quiet, and the food was good. There were enough electrical outlets and lights to read by. Keep in mind there is no cellular service or TV, and the wi-fi is pay-as-you-go.... More

We stayed here for three nights in the main lodge and found it very comfortable. Our room was spacious and modern with a refrigerator and coffee maker provided. The bathroom was roomy with a shower over the bath. The heating worked well and kept us warm and cosy. The self serve laundry on level 2 was very good also.

I much prefer Yellowstone in the winter. But even in winter, there's a bit too many people. And not enough snow this year. The skis they rent out are pretty crummy and the trails are somewhat limited if the snow is poor. But still a unique experience.

Stayed here one night on a winter wildlife trip with Natural Habitat Adventures. It was an oasis of warmth and comfort between two days of snow coach travel on winter roads. The only thing that was less than pleasant was the very noisy dining room. Also, I do not appreciate the practice of leaving stuffed animals for sale in guest... More

We stayed 3 nights at the Old Faithful Snow Lodge as part of our Tauck winter wonderland tour. It's a beautiful property, our room was very elegant, yet with rustic western decor which I really like. The food was very good in the main dining room. It was great to walk outside and go watch Old Faithful erupt and one... More

We stayed 1 night in the cabins, it was a bit pricey to say the least. The ride out and back was $200 round trip per person. That is just crazy, but really the only way we were able to get there. The area was without much snow this year, so cross country skiing was limited. It was an incredible... More

A large hotel with an attractive wooden foyer area, with a big fire burning and places around to sit. Our room was in the main building, upstairs and along a long corridor. Comfortable bedroom with a view to forested, snowy slopes. Bathroom had a bath/shower. Dinner in the dining room was very poor but strangely the breakfast buffet was good.... More

If you want to stay in the park in the winter, this is the only place. It is expensive for what it is, but you are not paying for the amenities, you are paying for the location. You must take a snow coach to get there, so make sure you have a way to get to the Lodge prior to... More

After 2 nights at Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel (see my review), the Old Faithful Snow Lodge was a very pleasant surprise. Both lodges are operated by the same company - Xanterra, but Old Faithful Snow Lodge has been completely redone. It is far better than Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel in nearly every aspect. This lodge is located within walking distance... More
