We stayed for a night at the lodge. Please choose for a room with view, we had no choice and were given a room with a view of parking lot, that not what i expected while booking it. Views from lobby are really great.

We stayed here as part of our Princess Land tour. The hotel has beautiful views, however, weather obscured part of our view of the Wrangell Mountain Range. It was definitely an isolated location and there were TONS of mosquitoes. Only food available is the hotel restaurants. Our prearranged excursion was canceled due to low river levels. (Princess Whitewater Jetboat Adventure)... More

This place is in the middle of nowhere...Well, not really, there are way more isolated places in Alaska. But, in terms of being near other tourist destinations, not exactly. But it was a great place to stop along my drive from Anchorage to Valdez. It's not exactly close to Liberty Falls, but you can drive there and come back in... More

I spent two nights here in July 2014. What a lovely lodge and grounds. The view from the lounge area is amazing. I put my feet up and read a book in the peace and quiet that is this lodge. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Unlike the other Princess Lodges in Alaska, this one is in a single two-storey building, with everything under one roof. It has an impressive view of the mountains, surrounded by tranquil forests, adjacent to the river and close to the National Park Visitor Centre. As expected the rooms are large and comfortable, with good décor and furnishings. The internet was... More

If you want to get away from it all this is the place. The hotel is in a truly isolated location with nothing else for miles around. It has a lovely main lobby lounge with a large open fire and fantastic views of the snow capped mountains though huge glass windows. The guest rooms themselves are well appointed and comfortable.... We worked in the area for the summer, this is THE best place to dine out. We always ate in the tavern; Alaska White on draft - ice cold! Great food, reasonable prices, fantastic staff! We did not stay in the lodge, only reviewing the tavern.

When we arrived during our land tour with Princess, we were greeted by the General Manager of the Lodge. He was warm and personable. He did everything imaginable to make us comfortable and feel welcomed! He and his staff performed a heartfelt ceremony outside by the flag poles with music and gifts and a wonderful tribute to the Vets on... More

Welcoming, cozy, on a site of incredible scenery. Happened to be there during great weather and the mountain range came into full view. Good food, lovely lodge, in the middle of NOWHERE, so you need to be happy there and there alone. So-so accommodations and the staff, approaching season-end, was burned out. Still, of the Princess lodges in Alaska, this... More

This hotel is absolutely beautiful but it is a long way to get there! Beautiful views! Had outdoor fireplace and s'mores. Ranger talks etc. There is a shuttle to the park that is great and you can spend a great day and see a lot without any of the expensive excursions offered. Whatever you do, don't book the excursion Kennicot... More
