This review is long overdue. My husband and I visited VanCleef Homestead for our 4 year anniversary this past October (2015). We had such a wonderful stay that I knew I had to write a review in order to let others know about this gem! I did a great deal of research on B&Bs in the area before our trip... More

What a kind and generous review! It is great fun to help guests celebrate a special occasion, and it is a special treat to have such gracious and appreciate guests! What more can I say? It is the special little touches that keep my guests coming back. Many thanks, Alexi, for taking the time to write such a beautiful review.... More

One of our very best B&B stays in a two month trip through eastern Canada and the US. We had a lovely large room, as well as use of a delightful and comfortable sitting room, with books and games a plenty. It was a short walk (UK standards!) to the historic downtown with a choice of places to eat. Lovely... More

What a wonderful experience this Bed and Breakfast offered my family. Beautiful home, comfortable beds, a wonderful hostess Carol and fantastic breakfast. We arrived to find a home decorated for Christmas!

It is always a pleasure having guests who are celebrating an accomplishment like graduation! We strive for comfort, good food, and a warm environment so that the family feels like they are home away from home and don't have to worry about a thing. It is especially rewarding when first-time B&B guests have a great experience. Christmas decorations always make... More

We took up every bed in this beautiful and historic homestead. Carol was very accommodating in every respect and honored our special dietary needs, even having gluten free cookies for our arrival. Her breakfasts were superb. We successfully biked the 400 mile route along the Erie Canal, from Buffalo to Albany and stopped in Seneca Falls for a day off... More

It is always great fun hosting a group of friends set out to enjoy their experience - the history of our quaint little town, the local restaurants, and what we have to offer at VanCleef Homestead. They were a fun bunch, and very patient as I worked at accommodating their dietary needs for breakfast! One of the greatest benefits of... More

My job is done! You were happy with your stay, and you left wanting to come back! The guests we host are wonderful. They are the ones who complete the circle. Lively and friendly conversation over coffee and breakfast is a "norm". Thank you for your kind review. I will look forward to hosting your stay in the future! More

This large comfortable B & B was filled by our ten bikers as we took a respite from the Erie Canal Trail. The rooms were comfortable, clean and generally quiet. Attractions were easy walking distance. It's on a street of very rich looking homes with a variety of architecture.

It's always fun to host cycling groups who ride the Erie Canal Trail and appreciate the history of this area, and especially Seneca Falls. Eleven guests is typically more than I handle at one time. Preparing a hot breakfast for that many with dietary restrictions and a variety of beverages was a challenge, but it makes me be more creative!... More

Booked ahead to stay in the Mynderse room after viewing on the Internet and arrived at the appointed hour. Carol introduced herself as our hostess and showed us to the loveliest room, equipped with everything we needed. She also had a lounge area with coffee pots already boiled up for us and freshly made cookies. These were delicious. The room... More

We treat all of our guests like friends and family coming for a visit. One of the greatest benefits of this business is having such lovely guests from all over the world. We are blessed with a number of great restaurants, so it isn't hard to meet the likes and needs of our guests. If the weather cooperates, we have... More

We booked VanCleef B&B for just a single night's stay while on our way home from Toronto, CA and Niagara Falls, NY. Having checked other reviews on TripAdvisor, we chose VanCleef B&B because it's in Seneca Falls and a short drive to beautiful Lake Cayuga. The inn's seconds from downtown Seneca Falls, NY, a historically important site of the Women's... More

It is wonderful when guests take the time to review our B&B. Thank you! The greatest thing about owning a B&B in an historic area is that we can share the stories. History and beauty surround us. The lakes are beautiful year-round, but especially during the summer. Having lived here all my life, I can be part of that history... More

Great weekend!!! The B&B was warm and welcoming. It was very clean and comfortable. Carol and her family were friendly and they were very knowledgeable about the area. The breakfasts were presented in a informal yet an elegant manner. The blueberry pancakes were a wonderful treat. Would love to stay here again!!! Beautiful area and the wineries and cheese farms... I try to keep breakfast simple, tasty, and plentiful. If someone goes away hungry, it's his/her own fault! :-) We work hard to insure our guests are comfortable and taken care of and treat them like friends or family who have come for a visit. Our rooms are spacious yet cozy, without a lot of clutter. I always appreciate when... More

It is always a pleasure hosting people who appreciate the amenities and services of a bed and breakfast.
