This hotel is definitely on my list of favorites! Although this part of Virginia can be very 'hustle-bustle', you are treated to a comfortable atmosphere from an old friend from the friendly managers and staff. I am a single female traveling with my dog and although the weather was lousy for the entire week, I was happy to stay indoors... more
I checked into the room late and was ready to crash, but I had grabbed dinner and brought it to the room with me, a kitchenette on the 6th floor. So I sat down to eat, (not in the room more than 10 minutes) and across the table runs a roach. Which I kill on sight. But now I play... more
This is a great place to stay. The hotel is well kept and hasn't been allowed to deteriorate. The suites are roomy, clean and comfortable. The kitchen area has a full refrigerator and all of the utensils and dishes needed for a lengthy stay. The staff greets the guests warmly and makes sure that all of their needs are met.... more
Hotel is fine, but probably better suited for families. I stayed two nights while in town on business and it was not ideal. Rooms are clean but small (felt like I was sleeping half in the kitchen and half in the bathroom. There isn't a desk/work area though there is a small table separating the kitchen and living room, so... more
This was the perfect spot for us. We were in VA to visit friends in Falls Church and sightsee DC. While we were a bit out from DC, we were really close to our friend's, which was our priority. You need a car or you will spend a fortune on cabs. the shuttle runs commute hours only, so we did... more
Pros: Great breakfast and excellent bedding. Free wireless internet and on-site parking. Cons: Very hard water, loud refrigerator and A/C. Small bathroom with almost no turning room. While not very close to the Metro station, the hotel has a courtesy shuttle that operates on weekdays that will take you to the Metro station. Relatively close to Dulles International and blocks... more
Traveled with husband and two preteens. Stayed in a room with queen bed and pullout sofa. Bed was very comfortable. Sort of tight when the sofa bed was pulled out but, as we were sleeping, that didn't really matter. We weren't in the room that much. We only used the refrigerator but the kitchen was clean and well equipped. The... more
My husband, 2 cats, and I stayed at the Residence Inn at Tysons Corner from 6/29-7/5/07 after we moved out of our apartment. Here is the good, bad, & ugly: Good: * Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. * Hotel allows pets (the main reason we chose it). * Hotel has modern and laundry facilities * Hotel has... more
