The location was easy to find, and the front desk personnel was very nice, but the room was very outdated. The bed/pillows were not comfortable. The air conditioner unit controls were so dirty I didn't want to touch them. The shower curtain liner had water/soap stains, so I'm sure it hadn't been changed in a while. There is free wi-fi,... As a vegetarian traveling in the land of beef and taters, finding the means to eat well is a challenge. We landed for two days at the Dollar Inn recently. The rooms were adequately clean. The beds were comfortable. Hot Springs SD is the more laid back alternative to the zoo in Custer, 40 miles to the north. The managers... More

We got in late at night and the owners were very nice. The breakfast was better than I thought it would be, and the room was pretty spacious. The TV was really old and heavy and not bolted down, which scared me a bit with a small child but I just watched him as I would normally do, anyways! Ask... More

We arrived late, with a less than warm greeting upon checkin- very much a straight business transaction-give me your money and here is your key. The room was clean enough. Shower drain was SLOW (took >30 min to drain after one shower for another to take their shower). We saw the breakfast setup at checkin and opted to avoid it.... More

The night was cool, the check in was COLD (not very inviting). Charged $10 extra per child over 12, even though we booked a double queen room (read your small print). Rooms were decent, but candy wrappers still on floor (corners cut during cleaning? See "Holy Crap" review - I believe it). Breakfast consists of convenience store mini-donuts and hard... More

Owner was very friendly and checking went quickly and smoothly. Room was clean, as well as bed and bathrooms. Our room smelled stagnant or smokey and carpet felt wet from humidity. Bed was not comfortable and felt worn. Bathroom was very small. Walls had scuff marks. Price was very reasonable and we slept well. But I probably would choose to... More

Owner was nice at check in. Very basic, older room. We were in the unit across the street. If you wanted ice you had to cross the street and the wi-fi didn't reach that far either. After seeing the breakfast, we decided to skip it for real food in town (although I did get 2 little chocolate donuts). Nothing terribly... More

Booked one night stay through priceline based on reviews. Upon check in, I was over charged because their printout was hard to read (always bring your own print out!). After getting that straight, went to the room. The room smelled of fabreeze. Turned on the AC to cool it down and vent out the smell. The toilet had poop spray... More

It became a bit difficult to find the hotel when the GPS took as to a different place where a helpful cop helped us locate the hotel. the rooms were quite basic (but clean) with small bathrooms. Pros - the owners/ managers were quite helpful and they made Tea for us even though it was quite late. we had a... More

My husband and I stayed at this motel a couple of times. It was rather dated and had small bathrooms. But it was clean during our stays. The person at the front desk was friendly and helpful both times. They did have a small 'breakfast'. My husband enjoyed it because they had baked beans in a crockpot, (I thought that... More
