Cannot comment on 6 Acres B & B as we stayed in the "7 Acre" adjoining property. Because the house has historical significance (underground railway) it could be termed "Genteel decay" (Think run down motel off the interstate). No smoke alarms and exit is a steep staircase. Window to fire escape is rotted and painted shut, which is moot since... More

We stayed at the This B & B the first week of June for a family vacation at the zoo and several museums and the Bible Museum. The suite was definitely in need of some repairs and cleaning. The windows were absolutely filthy. There were no curtains over them on the back side of the house. I can understand they... More

I really wanted to be able to write this place a nice review. The property has a lot of potential, and even if that potential has not yet been fully realized, the historical value of the house and grounds make it interesting to visit. That having been said, in terms of hospitality, Six Acres lacks some basic basics. "Average" truly... More

In need of renovations for certain. The one staff member that we met treated us well and was willing to change us to a different room when the one we had originally picked was smaller than anticipated. Ended up staying in the Seventh Acre building and both the bedroom and the bathroom had multiple things that are in need of... More

Hidden historical site near Cincinnati. Great place to hide away or hide a bride before her wedding day. It's like stepping back in the past with modern civilization at bay. Surely will be back to visit during the spring and summer to see the entire six acres.

On a recent tour of Underground Railroad sites in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky we toured this home built by an abolitionist and close to a ravine probably used as a slave escape route. The main house is in need of renovation. The staff is small and overloaded with a variety of chores. They have a small gift shop. But on... More

We stayed here one night for a friend's wedding in town. The room was clean and quite large. The bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows, towels, etc. I loved having a ceiling fan above the bed - really made climate control easy. Check in/out was simple and everyone was very friendly. The towels shed all over the place, which was... More

We were not pleased with our stay at Six Acres. When we drove up, the outside of the house is deteriorating. There was a sign that a historical preservation renovation was in progress, although there was no evidence of this. That should have been our first clue. At 3pm, when we arrived for check in, the house was locked. We... More

I came in on a Saturday afternoon to go to a reunion that evening. I wanted to freshen up and while in the shower I noticed that the shower didn’t seem clean. Not only was there no towel (I used a face towel to dry off) but all the shampoos were empty and the bar of soap was used. On... More

We had a brief but pleasant one night's stay at Six Acres B&B. We needed a room with two beds so were shown the Iris room in the Seventh Acre cottage just next to the main house. This was on the top floor (two flights of stairs) and shared a bath with another room which was unoccupied. The room had... More
