In need of renovations for certain. The one staff member that we met treated us well and was willing to change us to a different room when the one we had originally picked was smaller than anticipated. Ended up staying in the Seventh Acre building and both the bedroom and the bathroom had multiple things that are in need of... More

Hidden historical site near Cincinnati. Great place to hide away or hide a bride before her wedding day. It's like stepping back in the past with modern civilization at bay. Surely will be back to visit during the spring and summer to see the entire six acres.

On a recent tour of Underground Railroad sites in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky we toured this home built by an abolitionist and close to a ravine probably used as a slave escape route. The main house is in need of renovation. The staff is small and overloaded with a variety of chores. They have a small gift shop. But on... More

We stayed here one night for a friend's wedding in town. The room was clean and quite large. The bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows, towels, etc. I loved having a ceiling fan above the bed - really made climate control easy. Check in/out was simple and everyone was very friendly. The towels shed all over the place, which was... More

We were not pleased with our stay at Six Acres. When we drove up, the outside of the house is deteriorating. There was a sign that a historical preservation renovation was in progress, although there was no evidence of this. That should have been our first clue. At 3pm, when we arrived for check in, the house was locked. We... More

I came in on a Saturday afternoon to go to a reunion that evening. I wanted to freshen up and while in the shower I noticed that the shower didn’t seem clean. Not only was there no towel (I used a face towel to dry off) but all the shampoos were empty and the bar of soap was used. On... More

We had a brief but pleasant one night's stay at Six Acres B&B. We needed a room with two beds so were shown the Iris room in the Seventh Acre cottage just next to the main house. This was on the top floor (two flights of stairs) and shared a bath with another room which was unoccupied. The room had... More

To start off with, I neither found mouse turds nor paper thin sheets in my experience in the main house (not the Seventh Acre house). My wife and I were planning on staying with relatives, but one of them was hospitalized the night before we arrived so we needed a new place. Six Acres was the cheapest B&B available with... More

Mouse turds, paper thin sheets, and no cups or tissues available wee just the beginning of my worst b&b stay in 25 years. Host told us we could use any rooms in Seventh Acre house, one hour later he told us we could only use the rooms on the 1st and 3rd floors, none of which had private bathrooms. Breakfast... More

We were very pleased with our three-night stay at Six Acres. Though it's a bit of a drive to downtown, access was easy to the interstate. The neighborhood and surrounding acreage made it feel like we were no where near the city, though we were. The setting is serene and very historical. The staff is great! Everyone made us feel...
