The pictures on their website really glamorize this Bed & Breakfast. But in fact, the accommodations are old and run down. There were tons of bugs; earwigs, centipedes, and spiders all sharing your sleeping space. It was also really hot in the main house. There were floor air conditioners in a few of the rooms and they were very noisy!... More

The three words above are exactly how I feel about this place. It has a quiet, relaxing atmosphere, beautiful scenery, especially from the pool, landscaping is so lovely. I went with my boyfriend, and we simply relaxed on the property; either in the beautiful dining room looking out the large window to the beautiful view, or by the pool, or... More

Our friends rented out the entire place for their wedding and invited several of us to stay there. The owner was ALWAYS there and would not leave us alone! One night he was in the kitchen past midnight clanking around. He was constantly moving our personal belongs to the laundry room when they were 'in his way.' The entire fridge... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at Areus this summer and just loved it. The entire B&B is very well maintained and incredibly serene. The owner did a great job of introducing the property and then maintaining a low profile -- almost like we had the place to ourselves. To add to the great ambience, the breakfasts were all first rate,... More

My fiance and I decided to elope while living in Walla Walla for a year of graduate school. I found Areus on line while looking for unique places to tie the knot. The owners of Areus were amazing and helpful. They opened for us during their off season when usually closed and allowed us full usage of the grounds for... More

After looking for a relaxing place to spend the weekend, I did not find it here. Similar to what I had already read, warm and comfortable is NOT what I would use to describe this place. In addition, I found the owner to be very difficult and rude while speaking to him. My advice - skip it.

The location is beautiful - about 15 minutes out of town in the middle of a wheat farm. It is a mid-century ranch home that has kind of been converted to a hotel. You are required to take off your shoes before entering the house. The floor coverings are entirely sisal rugs and very uncomfortable to bare feet. Not to... More
