If you are going to Walla Walla for wine tasting, I would highly recommend HIE as a reasonable place to stay. Both times (mar & july 08), I've stayed there in the last year it was clean and quiet. First of all, this hotel is not in downtown Walla Walla. It's on the outskirts. From the hotel you'll have a view of either industrial area, highway, or Comfort Inn next door.
