Once in a while, you deserve a treat, and staying at the Marcus Whitman is just that. Large, sumptuous rooms that are quiet and comfortable. One of the best beds ever. A large bathroom with rain shower was a pleasant surprise. They are located right in the midst of some of the finest area tasting rooms when you are ready... More

This is a classic hotel with an elegant lobby and a deep sense of history. My girlfriends and I stayed in the modern wing, which is rather ordinary but it was adequate. My bed was comfortable and there was a flat screen TV and coffee maker. We ate breakfast at the Marc every morning and had the excellent buffet which... More

Despite WiFi and flat panel TVs, this Hotel has managed to preserve its old world elegance. The large, ornate, high-ceiling lobby, is reminiscent of bygone days as are the individual room pigeon holes behind the front desk. The nostalgia continues into the rooms with solid furniture, adequate and comfortable seating and plush drapes. Bathrooms in the original tower still have... More

My sister and I visited Walla Walla wine country and stayed four days at the Marcus Whitman Hotel. This hotel is a jewel right from the beginning. Lavish lobby surroundings, charming front desk staff, five tasting rooms right in the hotel which is surrounded by more tasting rooms, and the hotel restaurant is amazing! Rooms are large and we'll appointed.... More

We stayed here for a couple nights in an executive King room in the west wing of the hotel. The history of the hotel and decor is nice in the old part. The front desk staff were helpful and efficient. The area of the hotel we stayed in was a little dated but not in a cool way. It was... More

A property is only as great as their staff and Marcus Whitman is great. When we arrived We felt like we stepped into a fine European Hotel. Check in was easy even though we arrived early. Our room was lovely, I was concerned by some other comments in other reviews but was immediately impressed by the classic sophistication of the... More

We had a lovely corner suite in the old tower. Very comfortable bed . Wonderful buffet breakfast is included. Little hassle with housekeeping but the front manager did the best he could. Nice lobby, easy parking and walk to all the downtown wineries and restaurants. Highly recommend.

We stayed here in a king room on the west side. Lovely room, very comfortable bed, bathroom a little smallish, but nicely appointed. The front desk staff are really well trained, they ask questions, and give correct information out. Air conditioning worked well too. The rate is competitive & included a wine and dine package, so we had a nice... More

Had a suite that was retro in design, with updated bathroom. Excellent experience from dining to the staff. The hotel is within walking distance to the nice intimate downtown area. All in all, highly recommended if one is going to be in the Walla Walla Wa. Area.

The Marcus Whitman is beautiful, centrally located, and quite competitively priced. We were very pleased with the included hot breakfast, which featured many choices (and coffee cups to go). We upgraded our room to the Sweet Deal special, since we planned to eat at the Marc, their restaurant. Compute prices...all it gave us was a bottle of their house wine... More
