I have stayed at the Marcus Whitman a number of times; never disappointed. The rooms are wonderful, I especially like the old tower rooms with their great bathrooms. Beds are way above average as are the furnishings. Rooms are always spotless. Staff is friendly, helpful and professional. Very nice free breakfast. It's worth the trip to Walla Walla just to... more

I spent a few days here for a conference. The lobby is beautiful and the room nice. The first night I had trouble getting on the internet and they sent someone up to help me fix it which I appreciated. However it was a temporary fix as the next day and for the remainder of the trip I was unable... more

The hotel staff was very professional and courteous. Mel at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The complimentary hotel breakfast in the morning is very good - a real bonus. more

From the outside the hotel is the tallest, and one of the most interesting looking buildings in the town of Walla Walla. Walking into the hotel you immediately feel as you have traveled back in time more then a half century ago. The decor has an elegant and sophisticated old fashioned feel. Back when hotels were a pleasue on the... more

This place is horrible! I am traveling with a group of about 40 students from a well known culinary school. our first night we had a banquet put on by the hotel. for starters the chef knocked on culinary students (which we all are). The food was horrible, EVERYTHING was ICE COLD, and they charged us about $80.00 PER PERSON!... more

We stayed at the Marcus Whitman Hotel in April 2009, we were in Walla Walla for business. The woman who checked us in was friendly and courteous. We arrived at 9 pm and had time to go to the Marc Bar for a small dinner. The food was just excellent, and our waiter - Scott, was attentive, knowledgable, and clearly... more

Details matter. And so does the bigger stuff. The Marcus Whitman fails at both. 1st the small stuff: 1) During my recent visit, the key kept failing. It was reprogrammed repeatedly. (2) The front desk could not supply a downtown map. (3) The front desk could not make change for a $20 bill (so I could tip hotel staff). (4)... more

One of the cleanest properties I have ever stayed in. Breakfast (huge) included in rate. Lounge and Happy Hour a bargain! Food at the hotel rivals the wonderful restaurants throughout town. We walked to over 12 tasting rooms. Everyone there was so nice from check in to check out. more
