The Marcus Whitman is a historic hotel located close to dining and shopping in downtown Walla Walla. It's walking distance to lots of tasting rooms, too. Comfortable accommodations, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the free breakfast buffet is not to be missed. You must try the homemade yogurt! There are hot and cold breakfast selections like eggs, sausage,... More

We used the Marcus Whitman Hotel for our wine country headquarters location during a 2 day tour of wineries around the Walla Walla area. We found the hotel comfortable and good enough but somewhat of a disappointment for a classic hotel; while the public areas were nice and attractive, the hotel was a bit long in the tooth with the... We stayed here while on our wine tasting tour. We didn't think much of picking a hotel but by the end of the weekend we decided the hotel was the best part of our adventure! The food was great and the service was top notch. Chef Dawn introduced herself to us and was great at picking out a dinner wine... More

Only building above three stories in Walla Walla. Classic older hotel with newer convention center. Grand lobby, vintage 1920s. Sleeping room comfortable, plenty of room, small closet. Bathroom with old-style one-inch hex tiles, shower. Breakfast included, excellent buffet selection. Staff was cordial and helpful.

Our company has used this hotel on many occasions and I have to say, I am always so thrilled to see that Brent is the person from the hotel helping make our meetings, workshops and classes go well. He is personable and focused on making our experience the best it can be. Great job Brent! Thanks for your "I can... More

The Marcus Whitman is a charming hotel with such a historic old world charm. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. The rooms for state per diem rate are a little smaller than the others but it's not bad for one person. The breakfast buffet is usually good but could use some fresh fruit. There's cookies and tea in the... More

I have stayed here several times when visiting the Walla Walla wine country and have rarely been disappointed. This is a beautifully restored old-school hotel conveniently located in the center of downtown, near tasting rooms, restaurants and Whitman College. In fact, there are several tasting rooms in the hotel building itself. On this visit we had a room in the... More

We enjoyed a weekend of wine tasting and surprised our daughter with a "dinner with the Chef in the kitchen". It was spectacular. The food very excellent and delightful. We really enjoyed watching the hard working chefs bring all the ingredients together for a wonderful meal. The hotel it self is wonderfully maintained and so close to all kinds of... More

Wow! As 2 couples who do a wine trip every year Walla Wall was just awesome. I can’t stress enough how great the quality of the wine is as well as the value-worth the trip if wine is your thing! On to the Hotel and town in general. The MW Hotel is situated right smack in the middle of everything... More
