We travel with 2 dogs and it is difficult to stay at nice hotels because many nice hotels are not dog friendly. The room was older but very comfortable and large. It was also immaculate. The staff is very knowledgeable on all the wineries in the area and the breakfast was unbelievably delicious. Big thumbs up.

My husband and I were on a 4 week wine tasting trip from Portland, OR to Seattle, WA, via WallaWalla and Yakima. Since WallaWalla was mid-way through our trip, we decided to splurge on a junior suite (room 7007) in the old tower at the Marcus Whitman. What a delight! The MW is a well-preserved hotel from the late 1930s,... More

We stayed at the MW on a multi-day trip from Idaho to California, as there was a winery in Walla Walla hat we wanted to visit. We stayed in the historic portion of the hotel, and the rooms were spacious and well appointed. I particularly liked the fact that the soap/shampoo etc. (what I like to jokingly refer to as... More

My first visit was so wonderful that I did not think that it could happen again! I was very pleased that it was just as wonderful. From the time I checked in and my departure the staff was very helpful and professional. I tell everyone that Walla Wall is the place to visit and stay at the Marcus Whitman! Special... More

I've stayed at the MW twice. The first time (2013) was good enough to make me come back AND plan a large event for a Fortune 500 company. Well, that will be the very last time. The staff was difficult to work with. We were accused of stealing a vase and asked to pay for it. We were missing food... More

We didn't realize that a big group of rooms are in a more modern addition that were ok but lacked all historic charm. They could have been any middle of the road hotel chain but I paid way more. The lobby is gorgeous and the bar makes great cocktails but I could have had all that without paying to stay... More

I grew up in Walla Walla and was home for a class reunion. It's great to see that the Marcus Whitman is back and better than ever! Had a great stay, even though the elevator was a little noisy. Will definitely be back!

The Marcus Whitman is a top notch hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff, lovely rooms and a delicious breakfast included in the room price. We planned to stay only one night, with a play and stay golf package, but extended our stay by arranging to arrive one day earlier. Everything was set up for us and we had a... More

My husband and i were recently in town for the Friends of James Beard Benefit and could not have had a better experience. the property has classic, 1920s-era architecture and decor and really transports you to a different time. each staff member that we met was courteous and warm and really made you feel at home and welcomed.
