The room, though called a "Junior suite" was small and drab. Breakfast buffet was truly awful. Dry scrambled eggs and didn't even offer toast. Lobby had some charm. We stayed in the west wing. Perhaps tower rooms are better.

I was staying at the hotel for two months on a business trip. The upper floors of the hotel have been converted to modern apartments with a mini kitchen and seperate bedroom(s). The hotel is beautiful and within walking distance of many fantastic restaurants including The Marc in the hotel itself. The best part of the entire stay was the... More

We recently stayed here during the December barrel tasting weekend. Nice lobby. Friendly staff. West wing rooms incredibly small, especially bathroom. No better than a Holiday Inn. The original tower, while a bit more per night, is highly advised. The rooms are spacious and well worth the extra cash. The buffet breakfast, while good, is lacking in creativity as we... More

The Marcus Whitman Hotel has seen many changes to the Walla Walla since its construction in 1927. Agriculture is still a mainstay of the valley's economy (after government and health care). Instead of grains, however, the hot commodity is wine from grapes grown in the area, which supports 120 wineries. The hotel is both comfortable and affordable. The restaurant and... More

The hotel puts on the MOST amazing thanksgiving buffet!!! Wear comfortable clothing because you would be seriously missing out if you didn't try EVERYTHING!! If you missed it in 2014 put it on your calendar for next year. Fabulous just doesn't explain this feast. Look up the menu online....The truffles and tarts are mouth watering if you have room for... This is a very nice hotel and located right downtown Walla Walla making it convenient to everything you'd want to do while in town. You can easily walk to anything downtown, and when you're ready to get in the car and head outside of downtown your car is nearby because the parking is right outside the lobby door! Old historic,... I've always driven by the Marc and looked up rates before but they were always sold out or I figured I couldn't justify the cost compared to staying somewhere else. This Holiday Barrel Event weekend I finally found a room and The Marc is far and away better than the local competition. Very comfortable beds and linens and a very... More

We wanted to get out of town , but not to the big city( Seattle) . Instead we drove East and felt well taken care of at the Marcus Whitman. We stayed in the Tower and found the room comfortable. We enjoyed a quiet evening having dinner at the hotel restaurant and bar. We spent a couple of days walking... More

Our family of four was ending a month long trip at this hotel, which was not my first choice, but seemingly my only choice for a higher end hotel in Walla Walla. The bottom line, Walla Walla is not a family oriented city in any sense. It is organized and geared towards people either coming and going to the University... More

Stayed in the tower section of the hotel. Feel like we have gone back in time in this elegant old building. Very comfortable room and bed, and breakfast was delicious and included in the price. Walked everywhere we wanted to go, so perfectly located.
