Spent one night at this hotel on our way to Florida in July 2008. A very modern, clean facility, very nice rooms. Only minor gripe was that the front desk staff were not as friendly as one might have expected. Great location across from the battlefield, which itself is well worth a visit. more

I am from Kansas. I'm 52 years old and have stayed in many hotels over the years. But I must say that my visit this past weekend to Vicksburg Ms. and the Hampton inn there was the top of all my hotel experiences. The Inn and rooms were emaculate and the staff as friendly and helpful as any I have... more

We were so impressed upon entering the hotel. It is was so spacious and elegant with chandeliers, furniture and lobby area. The outside veranda was so pleasant. Very comfortable and lots of seating to choose from and fountain to listen to while visiting or reading. Tables and chairs available outside. Huge covered area to accomodate several parties. The rooms were... more

This is the newest and nicest Hampton Inn I have come across. All in my party expressed their surprise at how large and updated the facility is. Location is very convenient to battlefield and casinos. Service was fine. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom okay. Continental breakfast was typical for chain motels. Rate was higher than expected though, at $149 + almost... more

This is a great place to stay. The breakfast is good with plenty of choices. It is close to a civil war park where you can go jogging. The cookies at night are very good. The beds are so comfortable that I didn't want to ever leave. The internet connection is good. more

I was floored when I walked into the lobby to check in. The deco in the lobby made me felt like I was at a fancy hotel, not a Hampton Inn. The room was clean and huge! It came with a HDTV but the programs were not. I was also surprised to see a DVD player in a room. Choices... more

My husband and I stayed here for two nights May 25-26, 2007. We loved this hotel! It was easy to find (on Clay St, right off I-20), it was right across the street from the Vicksburg National Park, had free self-parking, free breakfast. We reserved a king room and the AARP rate was $162 inc. taxes. When we arrived, we... more

We were shocked to read the first reviewers impression of this beauitful hotel. Prehaps the people on their tour weren't appreciative of "Southern Charm or Manners". The "Southern Hospitaility " at the Hampton Inn located in Vicksburg, Mississippi far surpassed our expectations. Our room was the best we have ever had at a Hampton Inn and we stay at Hampton's... more

I am in the process of planning another group trip to Vicksburg in the near future. I like to use Hamptons because I am usually able to count on a quality product. Unfortunately, in Vicksburg the Hampton Inn does not live up to the standard. I was disappointed by bits of trash in the outdoor hallways and the overall appearance... more

My husband and I stayed at the Hampton Inn at the end of Dec 06. This hotel is just beautiful, with excellent service. The rooms are very spacious and very clean, the service was also very good - very polite and welcoming. Breakfast was included in our rate and the dining area is very relaxing, and spacious. A contintental breakfast... more
