This place is awesome. I actually was married at cedar grove. The mansion and the grounds are beautiful. You can come to tour the home or you can stay the night. It is beautifully decorated. Each bedroom is different. The Mississippi River can be seen from the top viewing deck. The grounds are beautiful. There is even a chapel as... More

Spent a long weekend here. The mansion and the grounds were immaculate. Beautiful gardens, tranquil fountains and a very pretty pool. The hotel, restaurant and groundskeeping staff all were kind and went out of their way to make sure you were happy. I loved the mansion and the history. I really felt like a guest of the Klein family :).... More

We booked a two night stay based on the AAA Guide Book's recommendation. We were in Vicksburg, MS to visit the Civil War Battlefield and the battle ship Cairo that was sunk during the war and salvaged in the 60's. It's worth a trip to see, and if you're headed there do yourself a favor and stay at the Cedar... More

This was our first experience at a B&B and it was wonderful! The place is beautiful and the staff couldn't have displayed southern hospitality any better. Breakfast was great and we got to enjoy the pool. We stayed in the Garden Room #3 by the pool bc it was the cheapest and I wanted the claw foot tub :-) The... More

The mansion is located in the old part of Vicksburg, as could be expected. We at first thought we were in the wrong part of town and I must say I would not walk around this area at night. The mansion has been brought back to life and most of the furniture is original to the place. It has quite... More

I travel mainly for the purpose of experiencing the paranormal, but usually don't find anything. This trip was a second-choice after a double-booking snafu by the Myrtles Plantation. The website says absolutely nothing of the place being haunted. When asking the staff, they are vague and rattle off some version or another of footsteps, children's laughter or glasses falling--all in... More

This was our first time staying at the Cedar Grove Mansion. We were originally supposed to stay in one of the outer homes across the street. It was very nice but once we had seen the main house we asked to change. It was no problem. We stayed in room 7 which is on the second floor. The room was... More

WE LOVED staying at the historic Cedar Grove Mansion Inn. The grounds are beautiful. We were in one of the Carriage House suites. The main house is still very intact, and interesting to walk around, but I have never stayed in the main house.

Stayed here in June for First time in 5 years and found the mansion in good shape. There was a major power outage and with no hesitation was reacommodated in coachouse suite at no additional charge for entire stay. The staff was very friendly and food good in the restaurant. Highly recommend this estate for an antebellum mansion experience. Thank... More

We checked into the Poolside Room only to find defective air conditioning (80 degrees inside), mold, mildew and giant bumblebees. We changed to the Robert E. Lee Suite in the main house which was much cooler, but found 7-foot ceilings, drab furnishings, grungy carpet and a bathtub with a shower hose and no shower curtain. Train horns sounded at midnight,... More
