I could not be happier. I stayed at the Laughlin Street apartment (no. 1) for 12 weeks from May to August 2014 while working as an intern at ERDC. Elvin keeps everything in top-notch condition, and is always easy to reach with questions. He is also very friendly. The kitchen was well-equipped, and I didn't have any problems with any... More

We were passing through Vicksburg and wanted to stay in an older style B&B. We chose McNutt House based on its location, and amenities. We were greeted on arrival and given a tour of the house. We were told a little about the history and given a run down of the room we had booked. We really enjoyed our stay.... More

We found the McNutt House to be very comfortable, and it's proprietor Elvin to be very helpful and welcoming. He even gave us a lecture about the history of the home. McNutt is rather good value compared to some other B and Bs in Vickburg and is well located - about five minutes' drive from and the riverfront town centre.... More

I would strongly recommend the McNutt House to anyone. I am a 21 year old college student from Ohio, and I stayed at the Magill House during an internship. The place felt like home. The location was very convenient, and Elvin and Pam were always available for any questions or needs. No problems with A/C, shower, sink, toilet, fridge, etc.... More

The building needed to be sprayed for wasps , my girl friend got stung by a nest that was just above the entrance door frame. Also the bed was really old and in very poor shape, and no breakfast. Location was great.

This is a great place to stay in Vicksburg. We were in town to visit the National Battlefield, and very happy with our three nights here. The owner gave us a tour and recommended Rusty's Riverfront Grill as a good place to eat. (He was right.) The house is beautiful; and our room, The Governor's Suite, was nicely furnished, clean,... This was a unique place to stay, almost home from home, easy walking to Old Vicksburg, 10 mins to the Battlefield park, quiet neighbourhood and a few restaurants within walking distance. Elvin was around most days and always welcoming, great little garden outside the room door to sit and watch the birds and squirals. Some unique points with pre civil... More

This little jewel is well-located for walking around town and several historic sites. Quiet neighborhood, and Very Clean. Elvin welcomed us and was very adaptable with our needs. He's a great storyteller as well when he gives the tour of the home, which is a bonus!

Though the name on their website and in TripAdvisor includes the phrase "B&B," your hosts do not provide a breakfast. However, this was not important to us. Having a full-size 'fridge, electric stove, and microwave in the kitchenette was great. The Governor's Suite was perfect for us - one-person jetted tub, two arm chairs, as well as a very comfortable... More

Nestled in the most beautiful part of town ! Antebellum homes surrounding it with gorgeous trees and landscaping. The owners are top notch and we absolutely could not have picked a better place to stay. Can't wait to go back !
