Fantastic hosts and wonderful B&B. we've stayed in several over the years all over the country but the hospitality, accommodations and great southern style breakfast was one of the best. We got a see Vicksburg package and it was great. Included a CD tour of the military park, free admission to the old courthouse museum, and a scrumptious dinner at... More

My husband surprised me with a romantic getaway here. Loved sitting on the porch swings at nite with a glass of wine and in the morning with a cup of tea listening to the birds. Trains weren't that active at all. Room was huge and quiet. Mary was great and interesting conversationalist. House was so lovely with the architecture, furniture,... More

My friends and I arrived at this beautiful piece of property in historic Vicksburg and were met by Mary, the owner, who checked us in and gave us a tour of her lovely home. She was very welcoming and helpful with suggestions about what to see and where to eat. We were impressed immediately by the 11 foot ceilings and... More

We have considered this review at some length before posting especially as our experience differs significantly from most, but not all others who have visited this property. What we offer is our own objective opinion about our experience of this property. To provide some perspective, we have travelled together for over 30 years, including travelling extensively throughout the united states... More

How unfortunate that this unhappy couple chose to disparage our business and home. A savvy traveler knows just what to expect when arriving at our home if they have visited our website to see just exactly what we offer our guests. There is also an abundance of information right here at trip advisor from real live guests who have stayed... More

My husband and I wanted a quick trip from Hattiesburg and ended up at Ahern's Belle of the Bends for two nights and simply loved it. It was a gorgeous property with amazing food, a great gift-shop and sweet owners. Mary was a fun, knowledgeable and passionate owner who loves what she does. Will definitely be visiting again and highly... More

We stayed for two nights. Mary ensured our stay was pleasant and memorable. We chose this bed and breakfast based upon great TripAdvisor reviews and can only join in the chorus of praise. Great breakfast. Engaging conversation. Beautiful home. Comfortable accomodations. Excellent!

We only had one night in Vicksburg and we found this B and B through Tripadvisor. It was super. We were made very welcome. The breakfast was fantastic - good to talk to other guests. As to the train which other reviews seem to mention - its not a problem, yes its close by, yes the horn sounds but its... More

The Bell of the Bends is a beautifully restored Victorian. The beds are comfortable and the rooms delightful. The best are the swing on the porch. One afternoon I just sat on the swing and read. Breakfast was very good even though I couldn't have eggs or milk products.

Bring on the historic charm and pass the biscuits, please. Sit on the second floor porch swing and look out at the Mississippi River. This is the Deep South, don't be in a hurry, soak it in, relax, enjoy yourself in this beautiful, gracious home.
