Wonderful check in, tour of the home on the day of arrival and a thorough detailed showing of each room of the home upon check out was very informational. Nice towels in the private bath with robes provided afterwards. Chocolate Strawberries were to die for, yummy! BUT, at night , I did sense a strange feeling..maybe a ghost or not,... more

The Belle is a beautiful home, lovingly restored and maintained. The furnishings are period specific and many are original to the home. The porches and the swings are perfect for relaxation. The individual rooms are inviting and comfortable, beautifully decorated and furnished. The Southern Breakfast is to die for and is served in the formal dining room on fine china.... more

My friends and I went for a relaxing weekend, to get away from the hustle and bustle. This was the perfect place. We sat on the verrandahs reading books and magazines, swang on the swings watching the beautiful view, and enjoyed the company of a great hostess and host. Mary & Dan are very friendly and were eager to accomodate... more

We stayed at this cozy bed and breakfast in celebration of our wedding anniversary, and it was a wonderful home away from home for us! We booked the Josephine, a spacious room on the second floor of the home with a veryvery comfortable king-sized bed. Our room had a television and AC as well as a fully-equipped bath. Breakfast was... more

We stayed for two nights at Ahern's Belle of the Bends. Our stay there was the best part of our 8 night trip. I wish we had planned to stay longer. The room was wonderful, and the breakfasts were lovely. The gardens and grounds were just beautiful. The owners were readily able to answer questions about the town and gave... more

Mary and Dan are the consumate Inn owners. Every detail of our stay was superb! The home is an elegant Itailianate cira 1876. Mary's knowledge and love of the home's history is unparalleled. We stayed in the "Josephine Room" - beautiful, roomy, incredibly comfortable. This was the cleanest home I have ever seen!! The gardens have such grand flora, a... more

My wife and I stayed 5 nights at this beautiful, 3 story, Italianate mansion built around 1876. The house contained much furniture from the period; it was like a museum! What made our stay most enjoyable were our very thoughtful, gracious hosts, Mary and Dan Ahern. We've stayed in a number of B&B's in North America. Belle of the Bends... more

I spent a week driving my Dad across Mississippi visiting cemeteries and Civil War battle sites. We stayed in 6 different locations from New Orleans to Nashville. Ahern's Belle of the Bends was the best by far. We booked the Rosehaven suite, with 2 beds in one room, and it was quite roomy and comfy for the two of us.... more
