My family stayed here for a summer vacation to Mississippi. We visited the battlegrounds and walked around the waterfront area. We had a fabulous time. The host, Mr. Sharp at Duff Green was friendly and gracious. We were the only guests on a Mon. and Tues. night and felt right at home. If you are looking to be very pampered... more

I would rate this somewhere between terrible and okay with problems. After having taken a tour of Cedar Grove I would definitely recommend staying there over Duff Green. The owner of Duff Green did not introduce himself to us and seemed bothered whenever we asked for something or had a question. I thought that maybe he was tired of running... more

We have just arrived home from our stay. It was delightful. If you are looking for rigid perfection you will not find it here, what you do find are warm hosts, a lovely historic home, magnificent antiques and a true passion and love of the home from the proprietors. The breakfast was good. The hosts are truly Southern in their... more

May 22 was my fourth stay in the beautiful Duff Green. Geuss you could say I'm hooked. In fact my sister and I are hooked on this historical and comfortable mansion. Mr. Sharp feels like one of our own relatives to us, welcoming and hospitable. Buddy and Peppy are endearing and not at all bohersome. Also over the four stays... more

My sister and I recently stayed here the first week in May. Just to stay in this beautiful historical home is a dream and then the casually elegant atmosphere makes this B&B the essence of southern hospitality. The Sharp's have the home beautifully decorated in period colors and furniture and then allow you to roam the house at your leisure.... more

My husband and I stayed at Duff Green Mansion for 2 nights in February 2007. Having never stayed at a B&B, we didn't know what to expect. However, we loved our stay and are wanting to return very soon, because we didn't get to experience all of Vicksburg. The Sharps were very friendly and helpful. Our cook, Dorothy, is a... more

My husband and I stayed at this B and B in second week in December 2006 for two nights. This is a beautiful house that has been well restored. We stayed in the Camellia Room, a spacious queen bed room with a sitting area, gas fire place, full bathroom and wi-fi in room and throughout house. The house has three... more

For her birthday this year my teen-ager and I stayed at Duff Green Mansion. It has a history of serving as a hospital during the seige of Vicksburg. She requested the Dixie Room because of all of the stories of it being haunted by a Civil War Soldier. I am not sure if it was haunted or not, but on... more

Duff was fabulous. The house is gorgeous and the rooms are spectacular. In particular, we appreciated that we could explore the house during cocktail hours and breakfast. We were really made to feel as though we were guests of the house and could picture Jeff. Davis dancing in the ballroom. The southern breakfasts were very nice--a great start to a... more
