We stayed in Vicksburg one night and were so happy we were staying at Anchuca! The new menu is amazing and dinner was perfect, despite my dietary restrictions I was able to eat and enjoy my meal knowing it was cooked with love! I would highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at the Anchuca Historic Mansion and had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant in the home. The mansion is lovely and the owners were welcoming. We stayed in Ellen's Room in a small annex. It was confortable, without bric a brac covering every surface. It had a nice reading chair and light and plenty of room... More

When we arrived I realized the parking could be tight but even our Silverado fit in the parking area but was a squeeze entering the gate. We stayed in the carriage house which is very comfortable and quiet. It was furnished with a Half Tester Canopy Bed and a fireplace. A long porch in front connects all the carriage house... More

We stayed in Ellen's room for 2 nights, one of the carriage rooms, adjacent to the main house. Wonderful front porch where we could sit and have a cocktail after a day of touring the area. Our room was spacious and nicely appointed. The bathroom was vanity had plenty on counter space for toiletries etc. Everyone was very friendly and... More

We recently spent two nights at the historic Anchuca B&B. We stayed in one of the carriage house rooms which was spacious, well appointed and had a cute gas burning fireplace. The main house itself is beautiful and worth a visit on its own. We were able to peek into both of the oversize rooms in the upper main house... More

Our tour company had booked us into the John Davis Suite in residential Vicksburg. Now, we'd already enjoyed lovely large rooms and beds on this trip, but this was something else..a very large bedroom with four-poster, easy chairs etc, linked to a dressing room area, bathroom and finally another bedroom with twin beds! Has to be seen to be believed.... More

The only real way to immerse yourself into what it must have been like to live in Vicksburg during the Civil War is to stay at Anchuca. From the true Southern hospitality shown at check-in; to the beautiful mansion (home of Joseph Davis, older brother of Jefferson Davis, President of the Confederacy); to dinner in the period restaurant; to the... Quite simply one of the best B & Bs we've ever stayed at! A wonderful old antebellum house steeped in history, a warm welcome & great food, Southern hospitality at its finest. Off-road parking is a welcome bonus!

My wife and I stayed here for two nights in mid September and were delighted with the choice. We stayed in the Madison Suite which is wonderfully roomy, beautifully decorated, quiet and comfortable. It is accurately depicted on the Anchuca website. The staff is very friendly and as helpful as you want them to be. Café Anchuca is located in... More

We had an overnight stay in the Wilson Room in the main house. The room was spacious and delightful with a very comfortable queen size bed. There were period furnishings and the room was quiet for a good night's sleep. The whole property oozes charm and quality and is about a 10 minutes walk to restaurants and shops etc. Parking...
