What a fantastic property, we stayed here as a last minute booking after we arrived late into Vicksburg. The rooms are fantastic, really luxurious and well equipped. We stayed in the carriage house which was great. The main house is historically important and we enjoyed the tour of the house after breakfast. The cooked breakfast was fantastic and the pool... We spent three nights in Anchuca staying in the annexe. The main house is superb and our room was very comfortable. All the staff were charming and very friendly. Breakfast was great and the meals in the restaurant very good too. We spent 5 weeks touring the south and this was the best place we stayed. We'll be back.

Anchuca is a beautiful home! You can FEEL the history. We stayed 4 nights in room #10, the Wilson room, and it was gorgeous. The bed was very comfortable and even though the room faced the street, it was quiet. Breakfast was delicious. We took our coffee out to the patio every morning and just relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful... More

The location was excellent, the atmosphere was just what I was looking for in a Historic B&B. The Pool area was very large and very clean . The Breakfast was outstanding. I look forward to staying here again soon.

We arrived on a sunday afternoon. There was nobody present. Just an envelope with a short note and the roomkey. We booked a room in the old servants quarter. Wonderfull. The only problem was that there was kind of a heater in a closet in our room that made an awfull lot off noise every 2 to 3 hours, even... More

I would say this is a boutique hotel not a b&b, it is just perfect. The pool area was lovely to relax and have a swim. The staff were wonderful and accommodating. Our room was lovely and cosy. We had dinner in the restaurant on site which was delicious and breakfast the next morning was lovely too. The house is... More

We stayed here twice on our way to and from Florida. This is a wonderful, relaxing oasis to bring a family or loved one. We stay in a room that accommodates 4 and is very roomy. The entire staff is great. Saundra and Sandra are wonderful and kind. Chris, the owner, was kind and generous. We ate dinner early and... More

My husband and I, along with another couple, stayed at Anchuca for 2 nights earlier this week. We had rooms in the carriage house alongside the main house. The rooms were extremely comfortable and met our needs. Within 30 seconds we could walk to the lush patio area and enter the house. Our morning breakfast was hearty and tasty. We... More

We stayed elsewhere but went on the tour through this beautifully kept mansion. We wished they had a room available because it was the best kept B&B we had seen in Vicksburg with extremely friendly staff. The rooms looked clean and appears to be the only place, with most hotels included, that have flat screen TVs.

I stayed at Anchuca over memorial day weekend and had a marvelous time. The Maitresse d'hotel, Tarsha (spelling?) was a wonderful, peppy lady who makes a mean martini and anticipated our every need. The pool was clean and a pleasure to swim in. The house is beautiful, and I particularly enjoyed playing the grand piano. The food is an upscale... More
