Came here to visit the Military Park . We had a very nice room (2) but it was a little noisy as there seemed to be a central heating boiler or something similar in a cupboard in the room that was constantly on but we got used to it after a while . Good to have tea and coffee facilities... More

We stayed in Vicksburg for a girls weekend of touring homes, visiting the Vicksburg National Military Park, and enjoying the Vicksburg experience. We chose a repeat stay at Anchuca because we've had wonderful experiences there in the past. Anchuca is a gorgeous antebellum home that is furnished with gorgeous antiques, nice amenities, but is quite homey and comfortable. The owners... More

Very nice. Wish we had been there on a night that the restaurant was open. The breakfast is very good, the grounds are really southern charming. It's hard to believe there was a pool there, TV was small.

We did not know much about Vicksburg, other than wanting to see the battlefield. We could have spent a week there; there was so much to do. We stayed at several wonderful B&Bs and hotels on our trip to New Orleans and Mississippi. Anchuca was by far the most lavishly furnished of anywhere we stayed. We stayed in the upstairs... More

We booked a room in Anchuca's carriage house to save a little money, and had a great experience. The carriage house was quiet yet convenient because it's a very short walk across the courtyard to the mansion. The carriage house rooms are cozy and perfect for couples. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. We also dined at the mansion restaurant... More

This is a truly beautiful property, lovingly tended by its two managing partners. The bedrooms in the main house are spacious and decorated in excellent taste. We had a wonderful night's sleep, bookended by a delicious dinner and breakfast in the hotel's dining room. The location, near Vicksburg's "downtown" and not too far from the battlefield was also excellent. You... More

Sensational dinner in Inn's dining room. Every single thing on plates was delicious. Large portions. WOW desserts. Breakfast was huge and wonderful. Nicest staff, very helpful. Lovely grounds with beautiful pool and terraces.... More

The Inn is a step back in time to an age of grace, but with all the modern amenities. We arrived during an ice storm, something that hasn't happened in 18 years. Because of the icy stairs in the main house we were given an upgrade and stayed in the carriage house at no additional cost. It was beautifully decorated... More

First time in Vicksburg. Stayed in Ellen's small but cozy room. Great location just on the edge of the downtown area near the new river museum. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing, slow-paced, weekend with a dash of southern history, this place fits the bill. Great food and friendly staff. Will be back!

We visited in January at the end of the worst cold wave in 20 years. We reserved Jennie’s room in the Carriage House to avoid steps, but were placed in the King’s Quarters because the wall heaters in the Carriage House could not keep the rooms warm enough. While the room we stayed in was larger, it required going up... More
