Pros -- It is a nice and well maintained hotel. It is at the "end" of Waikiki where it starts to become more residential -- so if you are looking for something away from the hustle and bustle this hotel is worth looking into. The staff was friendly and helpful. Cons -- if you are looking to go to the... More

Aloha...Just returned from staying at the Lotus for our 10th wedding anniversary. Our ocean view premium room (#1221) had the most amazing views - DEFINATELY worth the extra money. Room was very spacious and well presented. All the staff were so helpful, and the half hourly shuttle was used every day, as was the wifi, and we appreciated the bottle... More

The view of Diamond Head--unforgettable. Throwing open the doors to the lanai and sleeping with them open, waking to a cacophony of tropical bird song and sunrise over the mountains and ocean...unbelievable. Gorgeous hardwood floors and beautiful decor, plenty of room, coffee and wine to begin and end each day and a location on the cusp of everything. Do NOT... More

I enjoyed my stay here. The staff was friendly and very helpful with directions around the island. Wonderful restaurant as well. Very nice hotel in a great location. Overall it was a nice experience. Close to one of the best beaches in Hawaii. The water temp was 82 how could It not be like a dream.

I had a lovely, too short stay at the Lotus two months back, and I would recommend this very affordable place to anyone looking for a low key, civilized place to stay in Waikiki. There are hundreds of hotels in Waikiki; most of the less expensive ones are in high-rise slabs on side streets away from the beach, and even... More

I am reviewing my second stay at what is now called the Lotus Honolulu -- and I still love it. Hope to be back next year as well. I appreciate all the small touches, like an attractive urn of water in the lobby during the day, and the cool and intimate lobby with lovely koa wood panels and some seating.... More

We were looking for a low key spot with access to the beach away from the concrete jungle of downtown Honolulu. The Lotus was amazing. We had a room on a low floor with a Diamondhead view - we were pleasantly surprised that we had a small view of the ocean as well (obviously, would have been better higher up,... More

We've stayed here three times and it's always a great stay. It's not at the side of the beaches that are chucked full of people. It's down by the beaches the locals visit. On the weekends there are bar-b-que cooking and people having a great time. Very close to everything and not so close you feel like you're in Las... More

This location is really excellent, off the Waikki path. I travel on business and it is so pleasant to come back to the hotel where it is quite and serene. Their is a Park across the street which is very pleasant. The beach is very excessable, only a few steps away. The staff here is excellent, they remember my name... More

The Lotus is not in the main hotel district of Waikiki; it is beachside from Kapiolani Park about half a mile south of Kapahulu St., near the Outrigger Club. An uncrowded beach is a short walk away. Plusses: Low-rise, good rooms at reasonable prices, quiet location, and an extremely friendly and helpful staff. 2 Minuses: First, no kitchen, just pre-prepared... More
