This was the third and fourth visit to Sand Villa and it was just as good as it was before. Had no problem leaving our bags as we were to early to check in, we then checked in to our 7th floor room and our toilet handle snapped straight off we rang up and were quickly moved to a new... More

- Our family of four including 2 teenagers aged 17 & 19 travelled with Hawaiian Airlines from Sydney for a short break. - Chose Hawaiian Airlines for their generous baggage allowance .and good rates. Service was great, seats a bit hard but tolerable. - Chose this hotel for it's value and proximity to transport, Waikiki beach and shops. All buses... More

We were staying in Waikiki for several days and needed a good value hotel. We found Waikiki Sand Villa through reviews. The hotel is very basic, but a good overall value. The rooms were clean and adaquate in size. They did mix up reservations and I had to deal with management to show I did have reservations when their computer... More

Stayed here over Xmas as a last minute booking and one of the only places available. As a result the price was high and therefore the value average. It's dated and the walls are thin but the location is great being a couple of blocks from beach and the free foot spa behind the bar was great after spending some... More

Stayed here once in the '90s - much improvement since then. Standard room on 5th floor was nicely decorated and had a great view of the Ala Wai Canal. Ceiling air conditioner was quiet. Bidet in the bathroom - with a heated toilet seat! (Maybe not needed in the tropics, but at night it was a plus.) Front desk people... More

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and again it meet all our expectations. We booked 6 rooms all around the pool in the units and they are perfect for families as the rooms a large, have cooking facilities and being around the pool it is extremely well positioned. The hotel is no 5star, but for value for... More

(1) We picked the Hotel as it is close to Waikiki without having to pay a lot of money. It is a less than 10Min walk to the beach. (2) Hotel is not fancy, but in good condition. It is a little bit outdated. Room was clean as were the beds. Wifi is free of charge. (3) Bring earplugs if... More

Had a great stay at this Resort. It is in a great location.Only 2 blocks from beautiful Waikiki Beach and close to Restaurants and Shops. It is an older style Resort, but has a great Pool which is a good size and plenty of deckchairs and a hot tub.The Restaurant is okay priced, we ate there a few times but there are... I loved that there was an on-site bar with a grill that was open nearly all night! I loved the hotel's atmosphere and the foot spa, not to mention the five minute walk to the beach! There is even a post office a block away if you buy too much and have to ship something home!

Was a lovely stay. We could walk to the beach. The restaurant is nice in the hotel. The only disappointment was they didn't accept a prepaid travel card for payment so we had to use a credit card from Scotland so got charged for that. The pool was nice but you had to get towels from housekeeping which was annoying.... More
