4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

I was looking for a safe budget hotel with a nice pool and local pub in Waikiki. The sand villa provided both. My daughter and I stayed for 5 days in May. The rooms are just ok-basic but clean, had a small fridge, coffee maker and tv (which we didn't use). Would have really like a microwave but the room... More

This review is very late in coming. We stayed at Waikiki Sand Villa for 5 nights in September 2014 before we embarked on a cruise around the Islands on Pride of America and then home to Australia on Radiance of the Seas. This was our first (but def not our last) time to Hawaii, we are planning to return in... More

We selected this hotel by location and price. We looked for a quiet location away from the main streets. This hotel is on the canal side of Waikiki, and although away from the crowd, is only a 10 minute walk to Waikiki beach. We arrived about 8.00 am, after one of us being ill on the flight, didn't expect our... More

We have stayed here 4 times now and will continue to stay here. From the complimentary airport shuttle if you stay 4 or more days to the excellent service. We always arrive early morning so we cant check in straight away, they have no problem storing our luggage in a secure back room so we can go out and start... More

I stayed for two nights. It was very comfortable for me. Facilities in the room were not so much. Free Tea bags were indispensable. Sound of fan in the bus room was too noisy. But wash let was available. Finally it's okay for short stay.

I have stayed at the Waikiki Sand Villa many times over the past 10 years, and I am writing at the end of another wonderful 12-day stay. The hotel is located right in the heart of Waikiki, convenient to all of the shops and restaurants, as well as a full-service grocery store right across the street. The location is a... More

We were randomly "assigned" by our travel agent in a combination of hotel+air ticket to this hotel and found it very convenient indeed. The hotel is perfectly located: Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood, only 2 blocks, 5 minutes walk, from the main street along the beach of Waikiki, and from the center of everything (and only one bloc away from... Nice friendly staff, average rooms, fairly clean. Good price for Waikiki but basic hotel. Hotel is on the Ala Wai which is a busy street. You can park on the Ala Wai for free, but you must move your car on Mondays and Fridays between 8:30 am and 11:30 am. The city is very aggressive about towing.

If you do not want to spent a lot of money and want to find a place to stay in waikiki , close to verything , sand villa is the place to be.staff very friendly , breakfast at dollar 12,95 is overpriced and the food they serve more for Asian customers.

Nice hotel with good location on Ala Wai Blvd. The hotel caters to the Japanese, and that is a good thing because it is fairly quiet. The free WiFi is nice and it has a internet cafe on the second floor as well. The best aspect of this hotel is the friendly sports bar in the lobby. Good place to... More
